I think at first we learn the basics about growing plants, I am not sure my first class will be this Tues. so I will know more about it then. I hope to learn about garden design.

You know... I don't own a single plant. I used to have a venus flytrap but when I was in hospital my friend put it on the window ledge and it fried :-(
I used to take it outside and try and get the sandflies to fly into it. It was just a little baby one. I don't know that it would have been big enough to eat a fly. And... Okay... Don't laugh... But I used to feed it little bits of cheese. See... I read somewhere that they like the protein off meat and I figured that there would be protein in cheese and thought I'd see whether it could digest that. To make it grow better.
That was the round about the time where I was puzzling over how most people had iron deficiencies but there was lots of iron metal around and so couldn't you just grind that up or something??? I didn't (and still don't) know about how the stuff comes in various forms and how things are in an absorbable form or whatever...
I did such an appalling job of looking after my pet fish that I've been a little afraid of getting something living since then... Once I got to something like Kripke the 4th and Frege the 6th I didn't want to get any more. I'd quite like to get something... Something for my room. But I don't know what.
