...on my dissertation project.
I had a meeting today and am probably going to study the way people as they search for information on suicide or self injury on the internet, getting them to talk through what they are doing and what they feel about the sites/information they come across.
It's exciting, but daunting at the same time.

Sorry it took me so long to see this :-(
Yay! Picking a topic is half the battle.
I remember my first research project...
Yup. Exciting and daunting at the same time...I am sure you will do a great job :-)
Let us know how it goes

Slowly! I've met with one tutor, but I'm having difficulty contacting the other. I've been doing bits of reading, but it's all a bit disjointed at the moment - not much research has been done, so I'm searching lots of obscure journals!
My proposal has to be in by the end of the week, then it has to pass through the ethics committee, so it will be a while until I can get stuck into it properly.
Thanks for asking! How is your work going?

Ah yes. We don't have to bother with ethics committees in philosophy (cause we don't really DO anything).
> Thanks for asking!:-) I am interested in how you are getting on. Keep us up to date.

Hmm. It is not. Tutoring has started up and that is taking up all my time and energy (aside from babble) - but I will have to get into it over the next week or so...
This is the end of the thread.
