the function of the nz employment court

Posted by alexandra_k on March 30, 2022, at 20:59:15

so here's a scam...

you treat your employees like crap. you don't pay them, perhaps. you bully them. arrange for them to be abused. whatever. i guess particularly, you don't pay them. you just don't pay them. maybe you tell them to go away and stay away and you aren't going to pay them what you owe them.

so the person... well... they take it to the employment court.

and the employment court... well... the judge orders a few case management conferences and the like...

and there's an extensive hearing of extensive issues with side-issues and side-side-issues and the proceedings become quite complicated!

and eventually... after years of that... years of things working their way through the courts...

the judge finds that you were wronged.

but that you are to pay the cost of the proceedings. and you are to pay legal fees.

thankyou for paying the courts!

any amount of reparation that has been awarded to you -- has been taken by the courts.

that's the point there.

any amount of reparation that is awarded to the victims of wrongs, in new zealand, is taken by the courts.

that's how corrupt the judicary is.

why?

_________

because of the way that law school works.

__________

in new zealand they say that pretty much anybody can enrol in first year medicine or law... but that the first year studnets compete against each other for entry into second year law or medicine.

so there is competition for studnetsn to be selected to study at universiteis on the basis of what residential hall they are offered accommodation in.

some of the accomodation is known for being more academic. that means they are more likely to have tutors who tell you the answers to the questions.

some of the other accommodation is a little more... rape-y. i suppose you would say. you could die in your apartment and it would take them months to care so long as you set up your auto payments first.

so the cohort goes from more than 1,000 studnets in first year to a few hundred in second year.

______

second year is where things 'get real'. otago law used to kick things off with a camp.

it was notorious for nudity etc.

overseen by one of the professors.

there came a time when they couldn't really keep that professor around given his role in the proceedings (egging them on, encouraging, being seen publically to be condoning) so they moved him to auckland. i guess he got a promotion. for his many years of letitn gthe law studnets know what kind of behavior was expected of them.

setting them up... so they knew what to expect of their internships. how they were expected to interact with the senior partners.

likely how they were expected to interact with the judges and so on, too, i would imagine.

____

anyway...

point is...

so you have law firms... and a few senior partners within them get a lot of money... from the government. governmetn contracts. handouts from the government etc.

and the junior lawyers etc do all the work... and they are expected to work really long hours. you know.. like they advertise on 'suits' and other high quality tv shows where it is sooooooooo compeittive for all the juinor lawyers they are falling over each other competing for the opportunity to work 12 or 18 or 20 hour days...

so effectively, they are being paid less than minimum wage and they are violating labor laws on the number of working hours etc.

this is how the law 'profession' keeps it's employees.

so...

why don't the junior lawyers in the firms... sue the firms. their employers... for violating the employment laws of new zealand?

well... the fact that they don't. won't.

tells you everything you need to know about corruption at the level of the JUDGES in new zealand.

the judges won't make the offender pay.

the judges use their position to further victimise the victims only.

there is no judiciary in new zealand.

not htat i have seen thus far...

the judges will not make offenders pay for offending.

they are given little to no consequences and the victim is further victimised by them being gaslit and bullied in the courtroom... i mean, torture practices, not humane practices that are internationally accepted for how it is appropriate to question witnesses in court...

the courts will not find, meaningfully, in favor of the victims.

i mean the actual consequences of prison for offenders.

actual consequences of money to be paid from offenders to victims.

don't happen.

that is to say, we don't have a functioning judiciary.

what we have is not a judiciary.

it's (yet another!) new zealnd government institution of abuse.

the prisons are full of political dissentors. asylum seekers etc. people who asked for help from the public health ysstem who were not accepting that we don't have a public helatlh system. there is no usch thing. there is nothing here. the government colects up all the momey and refuses to pay clinical workers. there are no social services. it's competitive. the aim is to murder and destroy and pimpoverish and incapacitate and disable and sicken and weaken.

hahahahaha that they pay the workers for the provision of social services.

hahahahaha.

would you like to come to new zealand?

would you like to take your chances that you won't get sick?

would you like to enrol your children in an education system with the highest rate of bullyilng and abuse and child 'suicide' (we don't bother doing a proper investigation or autopsy to even distinguish suicide from murder)..

it's really desirable.

if you need somehwere to launder your illicit funds.
