that is to say, the chief executive of the auckland district health board chose to hire a queens council (most expensive lawyer) to represent his interests (i am going for removal from office on ground he knew or should have known about human rights violations going on inside the hospital he is head administrator of)
i suppose the government pays for that. for his queens council lawyer to represent his interests.
where is my lawyer?
in fact... why am i the prosecutor?
isn't the government supposed to prosecute things like that?
to honor international obligations?

but little old me... i don't even have a law degree. i got a B- for statute interpretation. i got a D for public health. then a C next time. i'm clearly stupid and incompetent and inept. totally f*ck*ng incapable.
well then involuntarily detain me in conditions of torture and throw away the key!!!

i should feel flattered... that someone capable is.... ahem... helping me. doing the work. writing the aspects that the judge will use in the write-up.

or maybe he's lawyering up now (lawyer paid for by the government)
in anticipation that a qc become involved in his prosecution at some point in the proceedings.

he should really pay for his own lawyer.
most especiall because the government pays his salary.
the government should not be paying for his legal expenses too.
it's atually the governments job to prosecute him.

which is why it's cheaper for the government to assume more direct control of the hospitals.

alex vs... all the hospitals of new zealand?? is that where we are headed.
the f*ck*ng ombudsman refuses to do his job.
so...
you employ random f*ck*ng people to go to the hospital and document what happens.
like how macdonalds hires people to go to macdonalds and order something...
and write down stuff. how clean things are. how long the order takes to arrive.
you know...
whether they were involutnarily stripped of their possessions and force into a seclusion cell and denied legal representation

when the emergency room nursing staff go on television saying that they need more money or people will die (and that's apparently not extortion that's just the way we ask for money in new zealand)...
and john campbell says 'i was in the hospital visiting a relative'
and you see a transient moment of...
fear.
in their eyes.
like they have been caught out.
and then he goes back to praising the wonderful work that the front-line workers do...
cameras are going up throughout the hospital.

they prey on easy victims you see.
they figure that nobody who has anybody who loves them will go to the hospital withotu people who love them being present.
so if a person is alone in the hospital they believe they are justified in treating them badly because nobody loves them.
they don't victimise the people who have visitors.
that was something i noticed when i was in hospital. the nursing staff would completely ignore me (which was fine by me, actually) but then when my friends turned up... the nurses would turn up too. then when my friends left the nurses would still be hanging around my bed 'hey you have some really nice friends (suprised)'.
when we went to visit a friends nephew... they seemed suprised that a group of people turned up to visit him. then i asked him if there was anything and he said he really had a craving for blue poweraid. so i asked the nurse for directions to the vending maching... and anyway it turned out i needed to trek a few blocks to get some...
and after teh nurses saw me put in effort to do something kind...
they perked up. they were kinder. to all of us. to him.
maybe it filters down from management (to the nursing staff and teh doctors and the cleaners and everyone.. . teh orderlies... everyone) that athey are looking after garbage that nobody values doing garbage work that nobody values.

which of course is why nobody pays me nobody pays me nobody pays me...
nobody allows me to contribute how i know i can...
because all of teh people with all of the money and all of the titles and all of the power they know what is best for them and what is best for htem is forcing other people to comply with their will.
