Lattes! Or cream. Black is unbearable, and I must have one cup of coffee a day.

I drink my coffee black. Perhaps it is some puritan hangover? No milk no sugar in either tea or coffee. I like to make coffee from nice beans, not over-roasted, Colombian.

somtimes i go to a convient store, and they have canned coffee double shot, i drink that to get pick up for the dday

other times i just make regular coffee, but i put certain amount, i use flavior creamer and if i use too much it makes it taste like a milkshake, i like to have the coffee taste, with too much creamer it taskes like a flavored drink.

but i hate the coffee crash when it wears off, have to drink another cup

I like them when something less than 1/2 1/2 and more than 2 per cent (I don't know what to call these things) is heated and aerated to the consistency of thickened cream and basically folded into espresso to make a regular sized (metric) cup.

Good luck finding that, though.

I can't make it like that, even when I do have access to a machine. I guess it is like sandwiches... Some things taste so very very much better when someone else makes them for us.

At home I grind beans every day or day and a half so they are fresh-ish. I'm fastidious about cleaning rancid oils out of everything with detergent. I use a french press / plunger and a little milk.

I prefer stove-tops but I don't have one and haven't had a stove before to do that, so... I do think they taste better but I suppose I am mostly impatient for coffee and it's more about getting done with breakfast and getting on with the day.

I have seen an electric stove top once. I would quite like one of those, I think.

We don't have drip machines. I would quite like one, actually. Someone I knew used to be able to set it at night so that it is ready on a timer so you literally wake up and go get freshly brewed coffee. If you can palate drip coffee, I mean.

I have been tempted... But then you gotta buy filters for them and I try and minimise ongoing costs if I can help it...

I do drink quite a lot of coffee...

But if I do run out for whatever reason I switch to tea and I don't find that I get headaches or whatever. I prefer coffee, though, because I don't drink it with sugar whereas I add sugar to make tea palatable and I find I am tempted to add more and more sugar to it over time... So it's better for me if I stay away from it / stay away from the sugar / stay away from things I tend to add sugar to.

Maybe I wouldn't feel the urge to add sugar if I brought better quality tea. I've always been fussy about coffee and coffee beans and considerably old school no taste at all when it comes to tea. I mean.. We've come a long way from instant coffee of the wrong species. But when it comes to tea I'm still drinking 'kiwi' bell tea in a tea bag... Same tea they were serving up with the instant coffee when I was a kid...

Haha.

I am surprised I don't seem to get withdrawal headaches or whatever from running out of coffee. Maybe that's what the sugar is for in the tea hah hah.

I've never had a home machine. In my twenties I was a coffee jerk before there were baristas. The work was enjoyable then. I drank too much coffee tho.

Do you take your tea as a puritan, too? I need a dash of whole milk and a smidge of sugar. (Black tea) As a child, were you given milk tea when ill?

Every grocery and mini mart in New England stocks 'coffee milk'. I think you would love it. Think coffee with the consistency of chocolate milk. It's pronounced 'caw-ffee'.

Yep, tea black without anything, but I buy good tea. Tea is cheap compared to coffee.

Likely sigi has something really nice to suggest. I take PG Tips as an everyday black tea. Or https://www.harney.com/products/eight-at-the-fort

W/ milk and sugar as the philistines do :)

A Peruvian I know has milk and 5 teaspoons of sugar in his tea. That made me feel homesick for country Queensland.

I tried iced tea once in North Carolina and it was like drinking a large milkshake sized cup of liquid sugar.
