I crashed while trying to give deposition

Posted by ClearSkies on February 25, 2015, at 22:10:21

My husband's lawyer asked for specific about the abuse. I Started to shake, cry and curl up. The deposition was stopped.
We tried negotiations at my lawyers office, but my husband walked out before an agreement was reached. We were very close.

I won't give any live deposition. Anything further will be by phone or in written question form.

This, just so's ya know, is the result of further trauma on a PTSD survivor. It hurt much worse this time around. I really did want to die.

For what, for nothing, for time in the past. No, I didn't do anything. He's not worth it.

So, I complete my westward move soon.
Will check in.

ClearSkies,

I'm sorry to hear that your attempt to give a deposition went as badly as it did. It definitely sounds like it makes sense to proceed as you're doing, doing any future depositions over the phone or in written question form.

Much luck to you as you complete your move.

Thanks. Even though he can't hurt me, I remain terrified. I'm going home westbound for a week to recover before coming back to complete the move. I don't know what we could have done differently.

Sad and tired.i feel badly that my body and mental state broke down so completely. Healing time, then back into the fray for the final move.

Please take the time that you need, along with the assistance of a professional if you feel you need that, to heal. I hope that you'll find yourself feeling less sad and tired when the time for your final move comes.

Thank you. I will be returning with concrete help, someone to share the drive and help with moving stuff if needed.

I do think that there was a mold problem in the apartment making me sicker. I haven't coughed since this morning, compared to a week ago when I was wheezing.

ClearSkies,

It sure is unfortunate that you've been feeling sick due to the mold problem. Having physical health problems on top of mental health challenges can certainly complicate things. Has the mold problem been taken care of?

:-( It's not the kind of place where it would be addressed. (It was the only place in town willing to rent to me.)

Well, that's quite unfortunate (and that's probably putting it mildly) that the mold problem probably won't get addressed. Is this your new apartment (the one that you'll be finishing your move to) that has the mold problem?

No, thank goodness. It was a little efficiency I initially moved into.

At least it's a good thing that you'll be moving away this place with the mold problem soon. That's probably little consolation to you in the short run, though, as it sounds like there's probably only so much getting around the mold problem for now. I would say to maybe try to spend as much time away from your apartment as possible for now, but you will of course need to be in your apartment to pack up your things for the move.

At any rate, I hope that your move will go well when the time to do that comes and that you can keep yourself as healthy as possible in the meantime.

I feel better being away from it already.
