Maybe I'm biased since I never supported this rule and still don't, but I thought maybe you posted the link so alex could remind herself that there are exceptions to this rule....

Since I -IF I were asked in the past to decide in a deputy capacity - would see her posts as a form of journaling/diary, rather than someone *appearing to* (can't know intent...) monopolize someone else's thread. I always thought Dr. Bob's idea was to allow dialog, so that threads would be back and forth, so I figure when you are posting many responses to your own thread....no big deal.

It's all interpretation, of course. And I have less than zero say/sway here.

I do like to think of you both as positively motivated.

I thought the diary exclusion was meant to track one's treatment on the Medication board. I see your point, though. A social diary is still a diary.

I really was not upset that Alexandra was submitting more than 3 consecutive posts. I took note of it, but didn't think it was something I should notify administration about. I must be missing something, though. I was under the impression that it was someone else who first suggested to Alexandra that she should stop flouting the 3 post rule. Perhaps it was simply a joke among friends. I didn't think so at the time. I was hoping to prevent administrative action, not encourage it.

>>I was under the impression that it was someone else who first suggested to Alexandra that she should stop flouting the 3 post rule.

It was. That's a fact. Not an impression:-) I didn't mention who was first, etc....did I? (ooo...who's on First? baseball!!!)

>>Perhaps it was simply a joke among friends. I didn't think so at the time.

Who knows? There are negative comments, then apologies, quiet, yelling, more quiet, lots more negative comments, nice comments, calm comments....are some jokes? <shrug> Friends? I wouldn't dare guess about that concept on Babble. For me, not a lot of what the onenoteduck posts in negative posts is funny at all.

>> I was hoping to prevent administrative action, not encourage it.

I know. That's one reason I'd hoped maybe you were thinking she could tell her "friend" she was journaling.

All is well....well....sorta.

Well DUH that was the crux of the problem with the deputies it was ALWAYS a matter of interpretation for your lil clique.

Do you really think Bobbo can't count for himself if he reads this thread? I think it is highly unlikely that he would block alex. She's practically the only active poster he has left.

You're the one that pushes the snitch button not me. Never have.

Go away and stop trying to stir up trouble. You really really really miss being a deputy don't you?

> Go away and stop trying to stir up trouble.

Are you serious or simply having fun?

If you are serious, while unfortunate, you might be treatable.

If you are simply having fun, then that is very sad and will probably leave you refractory to interventions.

You know, narcissists find it nearly impossible to see their own foibles. That is terribly ironic, for they spend so much of their time gazing lovingly at their own reflection in the mirror. Is Psycho-Babble your mirror? I can see how that would work. Here, you can be alpha and prove your superiority and unique genius - or can you? See what you need to see, but stop messing with peoples' minds. You disgust me.

The next time you call me a narcissist, perhaps you can help me to recognize it? We can help each other!

In that context, I don't mind the use of "Scotty".

"You disgust me"

I thought that this was a pretty uncivil thing for one person to say to another, especially when one has the luxury of time to compose words. At the very least, it is ugly to see. At the time, I was at a loss for words to describe how I felt viscerally about your behavior towards others. I therefore apologize and retract that statement.

thanks.

i'm usually... surprised when people read my rantings. pleased, usually. surprised in a nice way. that people took the time. expended the effort. but i'm not upset when people don't... because i don't really expect them to.

it helps me. talking things through. it is how i work through things. therapy for myself ha. and sometimes other people weigh in and that helps me, yeah.

even though duckie hurts me sometimes duckie gets me thinking, too. duckie has a knack for homing in on weakness... and usually it is the weakness that has got me worried, too. so... i think it is probably good for me. but it is a bit much for me sometimes... and shields come up.

it helps to because it helps alleviate some of the privacy / secrecy aspect that is shameful to me. getting it out lifts things... getting responses that are critical sometimes... is hard, in a way. but in another way it is strengthening. what is the worst thing that can happen? sometimes getting some of the worse and seeing you can cope survive okay can be helpful.

i'm flattered that duckie remembers a lot of what i say... and that it sticks with duckie... and duckie reminds me... because a lot of that stuff... doesn't sit right with me either...

There's a position open, and I bet your application would be favorably received. :-) Babble's different now, so the job would be different, too. And I'm open to suggestions. For example, focusing on helping people.

No, thanks. Never ever. Never is a strong word, but in this case I am confident it is accurate.

I think you know quite well how I feel about this different Babble.

If we are recently witnessing your concept of helping people, it is not for me.

Even if you suddenly changed back to the POV on civility that made Babble so unique and appealing for me in the first place, there has been far too much water under the bridge.
