I went to Walmart around 1:30. Which means it is extremely hot.
When I saw the deli I thought I'm pick up some heart attack food. The only lady working seemed to be really slow. I was irritable.
But when she finished with the other customer we started talking...old people...health stuff. I liked her. She said she had a stroke or maybe mini stroke a few years before.
I thought..that may slow you down. We don't know the whole story unless we talk. We don't talk unless we care.If we want understanding then we have to walk the walk.
Their banana pudding rocks.

Too true, Phil. I don't know why, but I am the kind of person that gets engaged in conversation (if you can get me to a super market). Other shoppers, clerks refilling shelves, people behind the counter...at every turn I am reminded that it's ordinary people, or maybe extraordinary ones, in that shop with me.
Sometimes, it freaks me out.

That's my socialization random conversations when out. Either shopping or when riding bike or walking the pups. What I do see a lot of when no one to talk to is that others are engaged in conversations with their phones. But why? Phillipa
