getting rid of a dog

Posted by no rose garden on April 17, 2013, at 19:49:26

sometimes I want to get rid of my dog because he makes it hard for me to go out and spend time with friends because i need to come home and take care o fhim - he also stresses me out because i live in an apartment and he barks...and now i'm not even sure if he's allowed to be here. He stresses me out a lot.

And it's a time when i'm ready for a relationship and ready to have sex, but it will be a lot less likely with him.

But I also know it would be ReALLLY hard for him - he's a rescue and has really bad separation anxiety. I'd always said that if i killed myself I'd kill him first b/c I think it would be really hard for him to have to start over again :/ I really don't want to hurt him but it's really hard for me too. I don't know what to do :( I love him so much but he really cramps my style.

Well, we have a beagle, what's more a male beagle, and now he is 8. We were coming through customs which, in our white bread country, are the best in the world. There was a beagle in a beautiful red coat. For years our young daughter begged for one, and after some years we did do that. I have grown to love him. But we live together here (I mean me and my wife and our beagle) and don't need to go out much. The other day he had a fit. We don't know what it was. Naturally we thought that this was it. But it wasn't. There is something about our satisfaction of needs and entitlement culture that really bugs me. Here he comes...panting away. He has been such a nuisance but it has turned out really well. We tried to give him away once but he walked over their fences.

Sigi I love my pups also. They depend on us so much. Yes they do cause us to be not able to travel and yes we do need to be here to take them out. But having a pup or pups is a sign of responsiblily. A good indicator if one should have children I found. As you can't leave a child at all. But with the pups we can be gone for hours each day. So still have freedom. I'm glad you have your beagle.
