I told my son the things I was sorry about, and the things I wasnt sorry about.I told him that none of my breakdowns was ever caused by him.I told him that he was a joy to raise. And I hoped he remembered all of the books we read, and the trips we took.I told him what a proud parent I was,and if things get tough,to push through it,put forth effort.I told him to enjoy college and all it has to offer(let's hope no binge drinking!).
Tomorrow is the day,I know I can handle it.

thanks, sleepy.I sometimes wish I hadnt gone there(having a child when I have mental issues). The pain,at times, and worry has been brutal. But when you get to see the adult your child has become, you realize it was a worthwhile endeavor. He's gone from a surly teen, to a caring, fun, and ambitious man.I love him dearly.

It's amazing how fast they are grown and gone. At the time I had my kids I may have been only l9 with first. But didn't have any mental issues that I was aware of anyway. You will do fine and so will your Son. P
