How are all the chickens?
My apologies-- I popped in and babble mailed some folks, then discovered I don't have the password to the email associated with my account any more. So if anyone replied, consider it has gone into the great Bit Bucket.

Are you saying you can post here but not send babblemails? Or that you never received babblemails as wouldn't they be received in your email mailbox? Phillipa

She's saying she can't get into her email inbox because she doesn't know the password any more.

Right, my babble mail was set to use an email address that I can't access any more. It's changed now.

ha, ha...if only it were that simple. And it probably is for most people. For me....
I tell myself that about every password.
And then....I forgot to write it down...within seconds.
By the time I reach for a pen, I've forgotten what password I made up.
I lose the paper.
I throw away the paper.
I can't read my own writing.
I can read my writing but it still won't work. This is often my life. ;-)

I've got a whole system for passwords now. I put them in an encrypted file on my desktop. I've memorized the pass phrase to the file. The file is backed up automatically to an online service. I've memorized the login to the online backup service, just in case my laptop gets stolen and I lose the file. Foolproof, eh? I actually do worry about forgetting the passphrase and the online backup password though. The brain, she's quite a bit more porous than she used to be!
But the babblemail email account was so old, I didn't have my system then.
This is the end of the thread.
