Deneb, I coconut oiled

... and it made no difference at all :(

I got some "pure extra virgin" oil, put it all through my hair from scalp to ends, wrapped it up for a couple hours, then shampooed & conditioned. Today I can't tell a darn bit of difference.

Maybe I'd be better off using a tiny bit as a leave-in.

Aw, that's too bad. What kind of shampoo do you usually use? Does it have silicones? The cones could be preventing the coconut oil from being absorbed into your hair.

I use coconut oil as a leave in too.

I got the refined coconut oil, but I am wishing I got the unrefined. Mine doesn't smell like coconuts and I wanted to smell like coconut.

Try moroccan oil.

It makes my hair greasy if I use too much. I make my hair really really greasy the night before a wash but other times I just use a tiny bit. I just scrape a fingernail full and rub it onto my palms and smooth it over my hair.

I have way too much oil now. I have 120 mL jojoba oil on top of the huge jar of coconut oil, so I am going to stop buying oils for the foreseeable future. :p

Deneb seeing a pattern you focus on one thing get tired of it and move on to something else. Are you back in school? This isn't a criticism just a pattern I noticed. I guess I also do the same thing then switch to other things. Love Phillipa
