These last 8 years have gone by all too fast. When you are severely depressed, they accumulate quickly, which is somewhat counterintuitive. The days go by agonizingly slowly, but then when you turn around, you realize that the years have passed without being engaged with life. Time keeps slipping away.

Scott, I'm so glad that your Dad made it out safe.

I still cry when I think of that day. Such a senseless loss of life. The magnitude of the loss on a large scale is incalculable. When you think of the firefighters or the companies with businesses in that building, it is staggering.

I found the photo of the memorial lights particularly evocative.
