I thought it might be fun to start up a thread all about coffee: what we like about it, what we dislike, how we take our coffee, the kinds of coffee we drink, what we use coffee for, even poems about coffee.
Just talk about anything coffee in this thread.
For me....
I love coffee. I love it's aroma. I like trying different flavoured coffees. I've had banana cream (which I didn't like), barvarian chocolate (which I love), caramel (which I love), chocolate raspberry (which I love), hazelnut (love), french vanilla (love), Butter pecan (which I absolutely love) and others I've forgotten.
I love and hate the stimulant properties of coffee. I love using coffee to study. I find it really helps me concentrate. I hate how coffee keeps me up if I drink too close to bedtime and I hate how it makes my anxiety worse.
I love how coffee suppresses my appetite. I've read conflicting reports of what coffee does to appetite. It seems to affect insulin in a way that can stimulate appetite in some people but on the other hand caffeine is used in a lot of diet pills. I find coffee suppresses my appetite. There is nothing like a large coffee to make me stop craving a food.
Here is how I take my coffee. I'm not a pure coffee lover. I like adding in a bunch of stuff. I take one mug of coffee with two Splendas and either lots of milk or some half and half. For a large coffee I use 4 Splendas. Yup, I love my coffee ultra sweet.

Oh how I love my coffee in the morning. Plain and strong is how I prefer it - with just a touch of raw sugar.
I'm not picky about the brand, but it needs to be organic espresso or french roast beans...and on sale. I buy
it in bulk when it goes on sale at the store.I grind the beans coarsely and drop a generous amount into a french press with piping hot water. Standing
over the pot as the aroma is released is just as enjoyable as drinking it - ummm.I like to drink it while I'm curled up in my favorite arm chair with my pups.....looking out the window and
feeling the breeze....usually thinking about how to make my life better...easier...less painful. Giving up is
not an option when you have a precious little girl, and sweet innocent dogs. They really need me to be there
for them, even when I can't be there for myself. I love them with all my heart.Ava

Coffee can activate central nervous system pathways that cause panic attacks, so it's good you're able
to stay off of it, Phillipa. I love ice coffee, too, with plenty of cream and sugar. And coffee ice cream...yum!Ava
