I've lived through two of them. Got sick the first time, didn't the second.

I did also had two kids in the 1968 so just me got the vaccine didn't get sick and kids didn't either. Love Phillipa

Even in that message, it seems clear that it's a pandemic only in terms of number of people involved, not severity of the illness. As far as we know there's no reason to believe it's more serious than that.

Worldwide, the number of deaths is small. Each and every one of these deaths is tragic, and we have to brace ourselves to see more. However, we do not expect to see a sudden and dramatic jump in the number of severe or fatal infections."
I don't mean this as applying to you or to anyone in this thread, but sometimes I wonder if these news scares operate similarly to my OCD in that they distract people from the smaller but more immediate threats in their lives.
That's just a theory tho.
