Or am I the only non-functioning individual. It seems that most people here have money or are able to work somehow. I just applied for the fourth time for SSDI and I just don't know how people are functioning and paying for doctors, pills, etc. I feel like a retard. I seem to get every damn side effect from meds even at low doses and feeling pretty hopeless right now. SI thoughts are coming and going and I am frustrated. Trying exercise when I can, and concentration is minimal, anxiety high, depression severe. Feel like an egg ready to crack. Taking Klonopin up to 1mg PRN but usually don't take that much, just started on Lamictal 25 mg and feel very fuzzy headed, is that possible? Making my mood more frantic.

Hi Leo,
Welcome. I'm not on meds at all - well I take 5HTP & St. John's Wort & a homeopathic, which seem to help with my SAD (seasonal affective disorder).
I'd suggest that you post on the medical site, as I think there'd be more 'traffic' on that board. You might have more input there.
It must be very frustrating & discouraging to have this type of trouble.

Well, I'm not on SSDI, but I have had trouble hanging onto jobs because of my anxiety and depression. I've heard many others talk about this being a problem for them too. There's been some talk about it on the 'Work' board. And as Kath said, the medication board would be a good place to ask about your side effects and that stuff. I'm sorry you're having a hard time, try to hang in there. A lot of people here can empathize. I hope you feel better.

Leo no you're not alone only thing different as got it second time submitted papers or my pdoc did but that was 14 years ago. And a lot of docs here at least don't want disability patients unless they have other insurance as well as payments low and klonopin isn't covered no benzos are now. I don't think it matters what board as a lot of others on all the boards are on meds. It's tough I know. Love Phillipa

There are various medical plans available on part D of medicaire and some meds are free if generic if brand my plan says no. It's rather complicated. Phillipa ps wish could be more help. Benzos aren't expensive under $20 for mine a month.
This is the end of the thread.
