I registered here about two years ago-- but then got nervous-- worried I'd get lost....... but.... here goes.

Hi all....

fleeting flutterby
-- if no one else has the name
you can just call me "flutterby".

Hello! Welcome to Babble! » fleeting flutterby

Welcome to Babble, I'm glad you came out of hiding to flutter by us. And I hope that you find as much support here as I have over the years.

Welcome!

Hey-- Hi to the both of you!

not sure I understand this format.... think I'll wander around and get a feel for things.

Was wondering..... is there a place to view a list of members? like to see if they live in the UK or the US or ....etc.. and like, how long they've been member here.... if they are male or female, all that kind of thing?
Also-- does this site count the number of posts one makes? I can struggle with feeling I'm being watched.*blushes*.

Thanks for the welcome! Yea, it's about time I came back and give posting a go of it! :o)

good day to everyone

nope, no profiles here. you can be whoever you want, whatever gender you want, from the UK, USA, Russia, etc. whatever level of disclosure *you're* comfortable with. no editing of posts though so what's posted stays posted...kinda like Vegas's tourist tagline "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas".....what happens on Babble stays on Babble.

being watched stinks!

welcome back flutteringby

Hi & welcome!

You can visit & participate in as many 'boards' or as few as you want. I usually only am involved in 3 or 4 & sometimes I am only involved here at Social.

When you post, just under your password, there's a box to click in if you want to be notified by email of any additional posts to that "thread".

You can post as much or little as you want, however, as I understand it, say you were starting a new 'thread', you can only start 3 in a row. On the other hand, if you've posted & want to answer people who've replied to you, you aren't restricted to just the 3. That's my understanding. If that's not correct I'm sure someone will correct me in that.

We have a few members who act as "Deputies". If someone has done something outside of the guidelines, they'll post (gently & kindly, I might add) to point it out. Or sometimes Dr. Bob will post (once again, gently & kindly) to point it out.

I'm glad you're posting!

:-) Kath
