I got this email from my brother's exwife who I haven't even seen, much less spoken to, in a few years. It says its from "Mamasource - a friendly, supportive community of Moms in your local area that is 100% free"! I'm like, okay, is she pregnant? Am I pregnant? Whats the deal here?
I can't help but wonder if its some sort of spam thing because recently I received about 15 bulletins selling cell phone something or 'nothers on my myspace page from a friend. Then it posted the same bulletin from me to everyone I had as my friends! I had to change my password (and hopefully that will take care of it).
Then at work I received an email about enlarging a certain appendage that I'm pretty sure I don't have. I clicked on the link to take me off the mailing list and it pulled up a porn site! I immediately contacted HR, and they contacted IT who said because I clicked on that link I will probably get more!
So is anyone else experiencing a increase in this sort of thing? If so, just an FYI, you're apparently not supposed to click on ANYTHING.

Good that you contacted HR immediately!!!
So if we aren't supposed to click on anything, how do we get off a certain page???

Well, I shouldn't have clicked on the link in the email that said to take me off the mailing list - that's what took me to the web page. I guess you're just supposed to delete the email. As for the web page, I could just close it (and did right away) but those type of things can be traced back to you, which is why I immediately called HR. It just seems that these type of things are suddenly more abundant than usual, but maybe that's just me.

I have 2 email addresses - mostly use one, but the one has been getting all kinds of crap for ages!!!
And people try to word them sneakily so the filter won't weed them out.
**sigh**
