I would bet that he was depressed and all of the anxiolytics and hypnotics prescribed for him weren't helping him and that is why he probably combined many of them. Although they didn't release all of his meds, I bet there's a good chance a few AD's were in his body too.

So sad...I saw so many signs that he was really struggling in his photos. He was very twitchy and a journalist said it looked as though he hadn't washed his hair in a long time. Sounds like depression to me.

Supposedly no history of abuse, just the insomnia that everyone said he was dealing with.

The autopsy results were negative for anyobvious physical cause and now they're looking at toxicology reports which take another 10-14 days or so.

Those reports will be interesting. They said he had about 6 prescriptions bottles, no elicit drugs. Two of the six were Ambien and Xanax. I'm curious about the others and think he may have been on an AD. Who knows what he combined that day but we should know after the tox results areback .

Think of all the combinations so many here are on.
So dangerous, the combinations, not knowing what they can do when taken together.

I heard it may have been a heart attack not attributed to any of the meds he was on. Now the rumors fly. Phillipa

When Brokeback Mountain came out they wouldn't show it in some parts of Australia for fear of enraging decent-minded opinion.

The family's response was...

"I just want to be with my son. I will be with my son," he told funeral home officials in discussing the arrangements, the New York Post reported.

The family's death notice called Ledger an "old soul" in a young man's body, and said his true legacy would be his daughter. It ended: "Our hearts are broken "

In a separate notice, Kim Ledger wrote: "Heatho, Beef my beautiful boy, so loving, so talented, so independent So no more chess games, mate This is it. Couldn't beat you anyway. We were one, in soul and commitment, just father and son."

I hear some Baptists are going to picket the funeral, the usual stuff.

OH MY GAWD!!!!!!!!

I find it totally shocking that ANYone would picket a FUNERAL!

How mean & how tremendously disrepectful.

And how very very sad!

PS - I always thought 'GOD' was all about something called LOVE!!!! Like - as in being loving to others???

Sorry - I am having quite the reaction here, but I hate to think of people who are grieving being hurt in any way.

Maybe they didn't?

I dunno, just heard that some were going to.

I had a big reaction to the one at Mathew Shephard's funeral.
