I like Foxtrot, For Better For Worse, and Baby Blues.
One of my favorite quotes of all was from Foxtrot when Jason tells his sister that math is everywhere and the more math you know the more math you see.
It's been on my fridge forever.

Dinah,
I saw your post on the FoxTrot strip. It came back in a Google search for "The more math you know, the more math you see." Now, I had this script at my desk for a few years in the 90s, but I haven't been able to find it again. I registered with Dr. Bob just to send you this. Can you help me with the date -- it should be in, I think, the lower right corner of the central "And that's what word problems let us in on" pane -- and the year, if you know it. If you know what book or anthology it's in, that'd be great to.
I'd really appreciate your help in this matter. I have found this strip very difficult to relocate.

I am so sorry to be so long in getting back to you. We finally moved it off the refrigerator, and I looked it up today. The copyright is 1993, and unfortunately bad scissoring had me cut off the date next to his name. It *might* be 11/6 or maybe 4/6.
If I can help you out in any way, let me know. It's a strip worth having.
I was reminded to look it up by today's Sunday cartoon :)

Thanks, Dinah. Wildly Foxtrot came today! It's on page 138. I still can't find the publication date, so I can't get the framed copy I want, but this is a great leap forward.
Paige: I hate word problems
Jason: Are you kidding? Word problems are great!
Jason: Without word problems, math would be just some abstract bunch of formulas that live only within the confines of a classroom or a textbook.
Jason: But in reality, math is everywhere you look! It permeates everything! You can't escape it! And that's what word problems let us in on.
Paige: And that's not a reason to hate them?
Jason: And the more math you learn, the more math you see....

I put a framed copy on my Christmas list too! But I imagine that it won't be possible if you need the publication date. If you find out, could you let me know?
