Sleet, freezing rain, and snow

Posted by Glydin on January 21, 2007, at 9:29:36

prepped yesterday: car filled with gas turned out in driveway - just in case but NO plans to go out unless necessary, some fav foods and good grade coffee beans to grind in the house, many books, 6 DVD's rented for my lazy pleasure, dog's daily constituional covered for today. So long as power outage isn't a problem, I'm blissfully going to spend a good cavelike day. This is wonderful - I spent in excess of 20 years working a "risking life and limb" job as an expectation with clear as water weather on days off and bad weather hitting on long work stretch periods. Home in bad weather without nerve frazzle to go out is new and it's great!!!

Hi Glydin,

Thank you for putting a positive spin on my unemployment. It's snowy, here, today and I don't have to go out today or tomorrow. Let it snow*

Poet

*as long as my husband snow blows it before he goes to work tomorrow. I hate shoveling and I always flood the snow thrower.

I want some snow... we haven't gotten any where I live yet (Rhode Island) and we usually do by this point..

I really would like to bring the little one sledding this year.. hm.

Could you send some of that cold stuff this way?

Its 16.5 °F where I am, and yet we have no snow.....I would really like some! And its not asking that much considering the temperature and my location, Finland.

Oh well.

Right now we have a white glaze of sleet and freezing rain with tinkle, tinkle on the window panes. I would prefer to have snow.

I will do my best to send this winter weather on. (smile)
