How can three babblers shop for 4 hours and only buy 9 pairs of shoes? We must have been tired... :)
Thank you AllDone and Racer for the most fun I've had in months. I loved that it turned into a genuine, old-fashioned slumber party, complete with sitting on the floor in our PJs, looking at Bay City Roller records.
Warm hugs,
Daisy

Otherwise, it would have been *at least* 11 pairs -- those bronze beaded thongs, and the black penny loafers. (But I always put dimes in those -- does that make them dime loafers?)
I had a fabulous time, too, and only wish I'd thought to impose myself on you for TWO nights! AllDone is just adorable, isn't she?
Thank you for including me. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! (And I'll be emptying my car today, while hubby's at work... :-0 )

I wonder how many shoes we tried on between the three of us? I knew shoe shopping was fun, but I don't think I've ever been shoe shopping with *two* other shoe fanatics.
And if you get a pair of shoes on sale, it doesn't mean you just saved money. It means you saved money to spend on another pair of shoes, right? And if your husband asks, "just how many pairs of shoes *did* you purchase while on vacation?" you can answer "none" because shoes purchased while on vacation do not count. (I'm wearing a new pair today. :-) )
Oh, and for those of you who don't know, any food consumed while shoe shopping has no calories or fat grams. Especially if it's purchased in a chocolate store because chocolate, when consumed with friends, doesn't count, either.
I had so much fun! The two of you are so very wonderful :-). I only wish we lived closed.
Love,
LaurieP.S. Does anyone know what a Monchichi is? I purchased one and gave it to my son, but Daisy and Racer just looked at me as though I bought an alien to bring home. I think it was an 80's toy. "Monchichi, Monchichi. Oh, so soft and cud-d-ly!" (I suppose it didn't help when I sang the song to them...)

Actually, I think we talked about this here a while back. Are they really still around? I can remember the song too. Funny how clearly you remember commercials from your youth. The other day I was thinking about pickup sticks and chinese checkers. We used to play those all the time.

You're absolutely adorable, and I only wish I could have spent more time with you.
Next time! Next time we'll all three have another slumber party, 'K? We can paint our toenails, shop for shoes, and listen to 45s.

Thanks, Racer! I don't know that I've ever been called adorable, though. Are you sure you aren't talking about Daisy's cat??
You're so very lovely, too. I really enjoyed the day we all spent together and I hope we can do it again sometime - here, there, or wherever. :)
> Next time! Next time we'll all three have another slumber party, 'K? We can paint our toenails, shop for shoes, and listen to 45s.We need to procure a turntable prior to our next visit. I don't think I have one...do you? I wonder if my mom has my 45s. Hmm...that might be too embarrassing for me, though. Shaun Cassidy, Kool and the Gang, some songs from "Fame"...ahhhh! I'm embarrassing myself!
Oh, I do remember my sisters' 8-track player, too. The only 8-track they had that I played over and over again was the Carpenters.
Okay. I have to go to bed, now. We're leaving for the airport in two hours and fifteen minutes. Oops. I guess I'll sleep on the plane.
I hope today is a better day for you, Racer. Try not to let the negative thoughts win. You deserve so much better.
Take care,
Laurie

I always knew I sort of lived in a time warp, perhaps that is why those dolls are still around up here.
I'm still sad I missed the shoe museum. But we couldn't have tried those on, could we?
My sons said we were so well behaved I could have another slumber party. They had some suggesting for me to make it "more fun" though. They thought we were out of our minds sitting on the floor looking at records.
Kids these days...

I'm jealous. I wish I'd gone shopping with Babblers.
I hate my social anxiety. It keeps me from interacting with people.
I'm glad you had a fun time.

That's all well and good, but to be in our club -- you gotta buy SHOES!!!
And you know what? I really wish I'd bought the black thongs Daisy bought... I wonder if she'd think I was copying her if I went back and bought a pair myself...
(The ones I ordered came the other day, and I've worn them twice. Even though they make my feet look fat... Man, I'm nuts, aren't I?)
Next time, Deneb, but remember: SHOE! shopping is very serious business, and SHOE! shopping with the Princess, Queen, and Empress of the art is very, very serious...
;-)
