Yikes. I'm sooo glad she can't read English. LOL
Mom: What's this? Did you buy a bag?
Me: No, I got it for free
Mom: Where did you get it from?
Me: Oh, in Toronto, they were passing them out somewhere
Mom: That's strange, passing them out?
Me: Yeah
Mom: Why were they passing them out?
Me: Uh, I'm not too sure, there was this convention, I'm not too sure why
Mom: Did your friends also take one?
Me: Uh, not all
Mom: Who took one?
Me: Uh, Meghan did
Mom: Why didn't the others take one?
Me: Because it was too heavy to carry
(Mom looks into the bag and finds APA booklets and papers)
Mom: What's all this in the bag?
Me: Papers
Mom: You should have taken the papers out if it was heavy
(Mom walks away)
Me: PHEW!LOL
There is no privacy in my house. LOL

Deneb, Your stuff is your stuff, you are not 3yrs old, you have the right to say 'please don't touch my stuff'.
As a mum I know that the time comes when it is not for me to know everything about my girls, that I will hope they will be comfortable telling me stuff but if they don't then that OK too
You need boundries too, you need privacy, you have rights.

You're a good writer, Deneb!
Actually, everything you told her was true: they were handing them out, we still don't know why they handed them out to us, not all your friends took one, there was a convention...
Oh, but "Meghan." Hmm. I'll start using that as a nickname. LOL!

You must be a very good Mom. :-)
I wish my Mom respected my privacy more. I'm kind of used to it though. I've never had much privacy.
I'm *really* glad she doesn't know how to use the computer and cannot read much English. She would know everything about me if she did.
