Why is pulpy OJ called "homestyle"?

My mother never squeezed me an orange.

I don't like thinking about home when I'm drinking OJ.

To Lar and Curt:
I'm really sorry, but I'm not sure if your preferences for smooth OJ are reconcilable with mine. I'm willing to overlook the fact that you both have opinions that I don't share. Politics, life (dare i say religion?)... but I like my OJ to be chunky. I like it to be as natural and unfiltered as possible. If I can't squeeze the orange myself with my hands, directly into my mouth, then I want to get as close as possible (suck all the marrow out of life, etc etc..).

I feel very strongly about this. Filtered OJ... you might as well {censored uncivil thought}

okay. I should avoid such inflammatory topics on this board. If I feel so strongly about it, I should have posted on politics or admin. What was I thinking?!?! And from YOU Lar! and YOU Curt! I don't know if I am strong enough to handle it. Well, everyone is entitled to his or her worldview. I'm not trying to convince you to come to the more fibrous side of the OJ spectrum. But, I just sense this gap, this chasm... I thought we were all in this Babble thing together. Now I find out that we have differences. I am unable to accept them. It's not your fault(s) for liking the smooth tang of the juice that doesn't get stuck in your teeth. The fault lies within me. I am not open-minded enough to accept that two nice, reasonable, sensitive men as yourselves can hold such a different opinion. And now I'm kicking myself. That's the risk of posting this kind of topic. I should have prepared myself for the fallout. Why do I set myself up for this stuff?

Sincerely,
-llrrrpp

I've never had apricot nectar. I should try some.

I don't know what my favourite fruit is. I like sweet non grainy watermelon and sweet (emphasis on the "sweet") navel oranges.

Apricot nectar is too yummy. It's a little bit thick & really mellow tasting.

Hmmmmmmmm

probably no pulp, but Old South has a frozen juice that you add water to - I think it's called Old Fashioned or something like that & it does have some pulp in it & it tastes quite like real orange juice. Mind you, I prefer real orange juice strained.

So I guess it's no pulp

Juice: Pomegranate juice. I drink four ounces every morning. (Hear that, GG? ;-D )
