Right here. Moving out this fall is going to be painful. I keep getting the urge to just throw everything out, but I can't bring myself to do it.

I don't know about pack-rat but I'm sure I qualify at least as a pack-mouse!!! I'm not as bad as I used to be.
It makes it easier for me to get rid of things because I'm on the phone-call list for the Diabetes Society & the Cerebral Palsy Society. They periodically phone to see if I have any used clothing, books, dishes - whatEVER. Then they tell me when their truck will be around to pick up stuff.
I always have a plastic bag in the front hall so that when I see something that I either don't use or think I can bear giving away, I put it in the bag, then put the bag out when those guys phone.

I can't stand throwing usable stuff out.
This is the end of the thread.
