Dr. Bob refuses to remove that bad post that James unfortunately put up. And its hurting JYL. James even asked that it be removed himself. Jyl has asked that it be removed cuz its hurting her. Auntie Mel kindly deleted it but Dr. Bob RESTORED it. He himself admits it could be considered as grossly innapropriate.
SO WHY, WHY, WHY, doesn't he remove it???????????

What about humanity?
I don't understand.
If this isn't sorted out, I'm not comming back.
Cuz this isn't a place of kindness, it a place of unexpected danger and cruelty, with no backup from the owner of this site.

Well, the truth is that this site is normally a place with incredible kindness, but that sometimes it is a place of unexpected danger to our psyches. Backup from the owner of the site is expressed in blockings and warnings, but not in removing posts.
However, in the past, the board has banded together in kindness to post enough posts to get a post that hurt someone off the main page into the archives.
I'm not saying that I don't think Dr. Bob should have removed the post. I do think he should have. But in the past, he's expressed the opinion that one reason he leaves them up is to warn people that Babble can be a place of unexpected danger.

jyl, it really isn't personal on his part. And while I don't agree with his conclusion, I know he didn't make it with any intent to hurt you.
No, Babble isn't always a safe place. And it's up to each of us to make the decision whether or not we can live with the risk. That doesn't mean Dr. Bob wants you to go away, or that the decision would be different for anyone else.

He didn't want to start a "buit you did it for xxx" kind of thing.
We all read Admin right? We know how it goes there.. If he bent his policy for one post / person, then next time someone wanted a post deleted because they regretted it, and Dr Bob said no, he would get a whole list of "but you did it for xxx". how could he then stick to his policy?
I'm sorry to agree with Dr Bob here, but if you have a policy, you *have* to stick to it. Especially on internet forums.
I'm sorry you feel that this is a personal thing jyl, but I truly believe it isn't. I remember the same happening to others.

Its not prcedent setting.
It is purely a decision on the part of Dr. Bob.
