That's so cute!
A friend of mine who moved here (Canada) from England, said her daughter went into laughing spasms, (being 7) when she saw that there is a store here called "Fanny's Fabrics"

One of the older brothers of a child in my program told me with huge indignation, "Not so! She is lying through her eyes!!"
I had to bite back the laugh.

Ok Gee
Be prepared for it not being as amusing as it was the first time around!'Funny farm' is a term for inpatient mental health services in the UK
but 'fanny' is a childish term for female genitals!!I warned you it wouldn't be as funny! sorry!

How wonderful to live in canada lucky you, I love UK but if I ever lived anywhere else it would be canada (actually it is a bit of a joke with my T - I dreamt we ran away to canada together, sadly only a dream!)

on a related theme...
one of my friends had recently moved to NZ from South Africa. She was in the garden doing some gardening and was appalled that the neighbours little boy was standing in the lawn looking in her general direction calling
'here puss puss puss. here pussy pussy puss'
she was about to give him a right telling off then she noticed...
the neighbours cat behind her to the left...
tee hee(for those who don't get it 'pussy' is slang for a cat and for female parts)

found this on a NZ to US dictionary:
root: to have sex.
A warning to folk from the USA! - A female visitor from the US has this to say... My first time in NZ I made the unfortunate mistake of listing off my hobbies to a family that had me over for tea.... among my hobbies? "I like to root for the football team!" (one of the boys said, "What, the WHOLE team??")

My dad thought it was hallarious when the Can. Olympic team had Roots all over their Can. team gear.
On the same note, my sis and I were in the car with him, parked outside a store with a really big dress in the window. We were commenting and saying it was really poofy. He turned around and told us he never wanted to hear us say that again.
It was an educational lesson for both
