Last I heard was in December, but he was doing very well then.

last we heard from him was after xmas in an e-mail he sent us about various ideas and theories of his. as to his state of being? not for us to say. we're only reporting our surprise to have received Chemist mail out of nowhere back in the end of Dec. this much shows he was typing and breathing two months back (we'd hope anyway ;) ....)
