Where to begin....
1. arrogant
2. acts like he knows about mental health issues when he does not. he makes foolish statements to the entire country which further stigmatize people suffering with mental health problems.
3. Who does he think he is kidding with this Katie Holmes thing?
I would be happy to never hear from him again. So there! :)

While I don't dislike him personally, I think his acting is mediocre at best and I won't waste money watching them. I also feel he presents an arrogant attitude and his insistence on pushing his beliefs about things he knows NOTHING about on the rest of the world just because he works in Hollywood leaves a not so pleasant taste in my mouth.
That being said I also think that he is quite insecure and that may very well be the source of his attitude as well as uncaring things he has said lately. Hopefully he finds his path, and that he can only share the positive stuff with us all next time.

After his comments on mental health, I've decided I will NEVER see one of his movies again. What an un-informed idiot.

To me, his comments on TV sounded arrogant -- it seemed he was speaking and with condescension, distain and ignorance regarding depession and medication.
It seems he's never suffered from depression or another mental disorder, nor has anyone in his family suffered from one. He's lucky for that, but the statements he made on TV sounded ignorant and presumptuous to me.
I know there are "little people" (not big stars) who feel as he does, and I dislike the attitude in them, too! (ha!)
I don't think he and Katie Holmes will stay together forever. I wonder if she's trying to live out some childhood fantasy (marry the boy whose poster was on your wall growing up?) Hmmmm...JenStar

I read that his first wife Mimi Rodgers was a Scientologist, and got him in it in around i think 1987?
I dont know what level of OT he is on, do you know how expensive they get in the upper levels?
Like 2500000 i belive.
I think it made him belive he was above everyone, but irronically it back fired, alot of people do not like him.
In the mid- 90's (early 90's) he was more liked, with in his movies, but times change...
Anyways, i dont know whats going to happen when he is like 65.

This past season there was a South Park episode ripping Scientology in which the Scientologists decide Stan is the reincarnation of L Ron Hubbard. Tom Cruise shows up to meet him and asks if Stan enjoyed his movies. Stan tries to be noncomittal and eventual says something like, "Well, you're not as good as that guy who played Napolean Dynamite, but you're OK, I guess."
Distraught, Tom rushes into Stan's bedroom and locks himself in the closet and refuses to leave..
The episode title is something like "Trapped in the Closet" (and spoofs R Kelly as well).

With Cruise yeah, it was definitely intended. The R Kelly connection is that over the past year or so he's produced a multi-part "urban soap opera" called "Trapped in the Closet' (mostly a series of infidelity vignettes during which a character he portrays hides in the closet when his lover's husband comes home unexpectedly).

He's been in so many movies I'm just sick of him. I did like his acting in Magnolia. He was this total chauvinist pig that gave 'self-help' seminars called `Seduce and Destroy''. They were about 'how women are just there for men's pleasure' and he teaches how to take advantage of them. Maybe he wasn't acting...
