Thats true, all depending what one may view their truth to be, for example when reading through the archive I found that scientology opposes the beliefs of psychiatry, but thats a truth I found, like when reading a book from start to finish it can be important to know the beginning to understand the end.

I know what you mean :-)... Interesting you mention your uncle being a Nuclear Psysicist (not that i'm one lol) it reminded me that there were claims that Einstein was dyslexic..

YES. Although many biographers claim to have disproved that Einstein was dyslexic, their arguments are based on the premise that because he actually excelled in school, he could therefore not have had a learning disability. Just because Einstein was reading Immanuel Kant at the age of 13 does not mean he was not dyslexic. Many people who suffer from dyslexia are actually avaricious readers of extremely heavy academic material. The truth is that the Einstein was known to do many of the things that were symptomatic of people suffering from dyslexia, such as to frequently transpose and omit letters, numbers, and formulas in his writings and to scramble sentences.
NO. Einstein excelled at most subjects at school and did not exhibit any signs of a learning disability. Where dyslexics have difficulty with symbolic objects, such as letters and numerals, Einstein did not; samples of his handwriting show exceptional clarity in both flow and form. There is no evidence he ever substituted, omitted, reversed or transposed his words, nor did he ever have trouble with complex formulae. Other symptoms of dyslexia, including trouble with abstract concepts and a difficulty summarizing thoughts, require little explanation. It should be noted that Sir Winston Churchill, another supposed sufferer, is described as "not dyslexic" and having "no learning disability whatsoever" by The Churchill Foundation (Source: http://www.winstonchurchill.org ).
Interesting. Although i'm not sure if i'm dyslexic (anythings possible) I am sure I can't compare myself to that genius! lol

Have you ever seen the Seinfeld episode with the "bad breakup" guy? He makes up weird insults to his ex-girlfriends to make them crazy. For example, he told a woman Elaine that she had a "big head" even though her head was normal size. Then she started obsessing about it, and thinking her head was gigantic, even though it was not. But this guy was able to find a point and press it and make her start worrying about something.
I think that people in 'real life' too sometimes try to push buttons or find a way to make others worry about something that isn't 'real'. They select something, make an insult, and HOPE that we'll start worrying about it. They try to make us paranoid about something.
Anyway, I just wanted to offer my support to you and say that I hope you recognize that if this happens, that the person who says it is full of hot air. :)

i think you express yourself more than 'just fine' i think you express yourself very well indeed.
far better than the majority of first and second year students that i've encountered.
and the most perfect grammer in the world doesn't save some of what they have to say from being boring (i probably shouldn't say that) or repeditive, or not very well thought out. and one can have perfect grammer but still not make terribly much sense...
and then there is the point that nobody is marking us on our grammer here! consider mine (lol) i can do a lot better if i make a conscious effort and i'm sure most people could.
i've seen people make it through to graduate level in psychology and science subjects who can't really write anything resembling an essay. they manage to get by with multi-guess quizes and getting 'proof readers'.
in fact...
i know someone with her Masters degree in councelling who is dyslexic and wrote her thesis (thats around 40,000 words) with the help of a reader / writer. she really did have the most terrible grammer / spelling that i have ever seen.
but what she had to say was better than some of the things i've read where the grammer is all perfect.
if you wanted to learn to write with perfect grammer i'm sure you wouldn't have much trouble.
i can tell from what you say that you are intelligent and the point that you have self-directed your learning (which i see now that i've thought about it more is an unwarranted assumption)... but if it is true i think ability to self direct your learning... is a credit to you.and if you decided you wanted to be a psychologist or whatever...
i'm sure you wouldn't have very much trouble
and i'm sure you would be good at it
if it was something that you wanted to do.take care.
