A what if question..... ROFL

Posted by spriggy on October 18, 2005, at 12:54:36

Let's just say, for instance, that you woke up one morning (mainly THIS morning) and upon waking and looking at the ceiling, you realize the room is spinning.

You then try to get out of bed and fall down like a drunk man on Cops (although you've had no alcoholic beverage in the last 9 years-- okay, except the occasional swig of Nyquil).

If this were to happen to you.. Would you :

A) Take a decongenstant like Sudafed

B) take an anti histamine like Benadryl

C) do nothing and just go along for the ride- afterall it's free.

Just wondering..

I started smiling before i even clicked this post.

Well, i would go with Choice A. Benadryl makes you drowsi, and its used in OTC Sleeping pills.

I would have some coffee, and then take xanex.

Or have an energy drink , like red bull.

Smoke.... ? i dont think so, everything would start to spin. ROLF

or go for a jog, that will get some nuerons back together, wherever they are... lol

Or just sit and let ride off.

Matt

I might have fun with it for a little while. If I was not on Lexapro I might worry. Ultimately I would take a sudafed. I like sudafed. It works on me, but not on my husband.

Spriggy that's what happened to me when I had vertigo. I couldn't turn my head. Had to crawl to the bathroom. Went to ER they gave me an IM of 2mg of ativan and antivert. Fondly, Phillipa

I would take B... the antihistamine... that's what a few people on Babble said to try when I was suffering coming off of Effexor... it stops the spinning pretty well!!

I'd stay with it, but I get nauseous when the room is spinning...

thanks folks...

I tried a Sudafed in the earlier part of the day.

It made my mouth dry but it did not stop the room. I only had problems when I moved my head too fast- it seems the room took a while to catch up with my face. ROFL

I took two benadryl later on in the day, slept like a baby (except I didn't go potty on myself and cry for my mommy). ROFL

I woke up today and no more spinning!

I like roller coasters but not spin rides. Maybe next time I'll see the room dropping instead of spinning. LOL

I would have to go with the Benadryl. Of course, when I had surgery this summer and had to take some benadryl because of the strong medicine I was on, it made me sleep like a baby.
