I know that I am a christian who reads my bible almost daily and Pray all the time. I hate my job I think my friend and I will go somewhere and have a few drinks. I want JimBeam and coke.

I had a blast. Her two kids played with my two kids. She drank wine and I drank whiskey. It is over now. She left to do homework with her daughter and fix supper. Our "partying" is over.
Now it is back to reality. he he. I am just a little dizzy.

I so glad you had fun. You deserve it! I think most people would agree that alcohol used in moderation is okay, its the abuse of it that gets you (me) in trouble. Of course, if it is strictly forbidden by your religion or other belief system, that's a different story. BTW, didn't Jesus say to ''Have a little wine for your stomach's sake"? I was a preacher's kid. Those sort of things pop into my head occasionally. And if ANYBODY says "I heard preacher's kids are the worst ones", my head just might explode. You have no idea how many times I've heard that.

I go to an Assemble of God church. I never heard anyone say that we cant drink, I just wouldnt do it in front of most of the people in the church.
I totally agree that drinking in moderation is ok.
If you dont mind me asking, which denomination did you grow-up in? I have a question about raising my children. Go to the parent board, please.
