Has anyone seen that commercial created by Unicef that shows a Smurf village getting bombed - it's supposed to show the horrors of war? They keep showing it on news clips and MTV! I remember watching the Smurfs on TV when I was a kid. My sister LOVED them...but I don't think she's especially traumatized by this commercial. Personally I thought it was kind of "weak" in regards to making me see the horrors of war. The regular news footage does that well enough, sadly. It did make me laugh in a sort of horrified, surprised way...
has anyone else seen that? Does it make you think twice about war?

yes I saw it... It actually sort of made me laugh, only on account of my unnatural hatred of the smurfs. It's a really weird sort of humor though - The concept is actually pretty disturbing...but then I see smurfette lying on the ground with her one white high heel off with her blue toes showing, and I can't help it.
I know I looked at it, but was it sincerely trying to make people realize the horrors of war? It seems actually sort of inappropriate if that is the case. News footage does it for me.
If that was their aim, I can't imagine why they thought that would work!

Burger King creature, too,...before they feature him in any more commercials that make me shudder!!
I mean, really....the BK now prowls the forests, offering *Meat-Normous* (eeek!!!) Omlette Sandwiches to lumberjacks, who smile with delight and then get up on slippery logs with him....!!!
Wouldn't it take days to unravel all the Freudian stuff and other double meanings? But, actually, no thanks....that thing (BK) just needs to be DESTROYED!
yuk yuk yuk - I have issues with the BK!!!
(oh, anastasia...where have you been, friend??!!)

This was before my last med adjustment, hee hee I was sooooo agitated...What the heck was going on!?
I hate the smurfs
and their little blue f*cking tails hanging out of their perfectly clean f*cking white pants
If I lived in a mushroom and had a name like tailor smurf, or greedy, or grumpy smurf life would be pretty f*cking simple, but it's not
Papa smurf you suck *ss
la la la la la la la la la la la
stomp the mushrooms!!

Awesome! Maybe, one day, you could indulge my issue and write one about the BK for me...but of course, I don't want you to get agitated just to do it!!
...'cause the Burger King's NOT really real...uh....right? ;-)
(I AM obsessed...sheesh...!)
