So I've just been offered a job with a MAJOR raise in pay. SOunds good, right? I'm completely freaking out.
I've worked at my current place of employment for 10 years now and of course feel quite comfortable - have made good friends, like the UNiversity, etc. One sad fact however is that I am extremely underpaid.
My new place of employment will be a small liberal arts college, this in contrast to where I am now which is a large urban University.
Why am I posting this??? I'm freaking out. I'm excited and scared half to death at the same time.

take it!!!! all of the perks of uni job, but HALF of the bureaucratic BS !!!I am sooooooooooo excited for you!!!!!
I know that change is always a bit scary, but won't it be exciting when you can actually take your vacation time going somewhere you want and can now afford!!!!?????!!!!!

Congratulations! It sounds like a wonderful opportunity for you.
I've switched jobs a few times and I know how it can cause some stress and anxiety. Just remember it is only temporary. Before you know it, you'll be all settled in at your new job and you'll have all that extra money to go shopping ;).
