Makes me feel very, very safe.Sorry I haven't been around. It's tough to be worried and not to know what's going on. I'm not sure what the best course of action is, but I don't think, based on what she's posted, that I should intervene myself. I agree, you guys are the best!

Damos is Australian, right? Sydney. Sorry. I know people in NZ, but can't ask them into anything like this. Maybe we just have to sit tight.. but it's awful thinking she might be in the Obits in some paper and we'll never know. I hope she turns up.

Hi Susan,
I'm in the office and have got Alex's details from Larry and gg and am just waiting to hear whether gg was able to call her this morning before I start anything else.
Yeah I'm in Oz but that still makes me closest I guess.

I spoke with someone in her department, and alex is on sick leave right now. I sent along all of our good wishes, and she said she thought that "alex" would be pleased to hear that. She should be back at work next week.
Major sigh of relief. Thanks for all the support, everyone. I hope alex can feel all the love that's right here.

Thank GOD!! (And I already have, BTW!)
Major, giant, sighs of relief!!!!
GG, Damos, Larry, anyone else I don't know about -I can't really choose adequate words to say how I feel about your care, concern and persistence in this situation. Sometimes, even though we get so anxious and truly want to act, it's still (as the flawed humans we all are) easier to do nothing.
And you all did *something* and it was beautiful!
(((((((gg)))))) ((((((Damos))))
((((Larry)))) ((((anyone I forgot..))))
I think I shall walk with a spring in my step for the first time in a week.....<grin>

Just thought in case anyone was nervous about opening my post about making contact, I'd reassure them it was okay.
That's all.
And I feel bad for hijacking PC's thread. Just noticed that. :(

PS - Careful not to make a habit of agreeing with me, though. Might be hazardous... ;-)

That's a lovely post. And I would have a spring in my step, too, except I think I just broke my toe about a half hour ago, running to fix the washing machine. :( sighBut springing in spirit!

Yes, what a relief. Wow. Maybe we take ourselves a bit too seriously sometimes, I don't know, but it's also good, isn't it a good thing too? She must've been extremely sick she must be really ill though. Sending her love, but not hugs this time as I don't want to be intrusive. Love for Alexandra.
