Would you tell your husband or S/O if you....

Posted by Fallen4MyT on December 19, 2004, at 18:36:11

I think I accidently flushed a tube of hand cream down the toilet. I heard weird noises like the flushing of the toilet in my TUB the other day and was concerned but blew it off to weird septic tank junk...so then today I felt like smelling like Fig...(great scent from Bath and Body works btw) and um the tube is gone..then I started thinking maybe I put it on the back of the toliet and it fell in...Would you tell??? I know if I do I will be yelled at and called stupid and so on....but should I???

Nope, I'm not going to lecture you on your relationship cause I've been in too many of those, but I wouldn't tell. If he was an understanding guy I would, but no.. why?'
If it shows up later on, caught in the pipes you can always pretend the dog knocked it in or something.

Although... I also noticed with abusive guy relationships, sometimes I'd just get it over with and say something cause I couldn't stand the tension, it's almost like you know they're going to find something to yell at you about anyway, this way it gives them something, and you can get it over with (it's a really small way of having some control I guess)

Gee I'm no help at all.

(((Fallen)))

I'm sorry you lost your cream too.

I agree with Anastasia. Besides, it could be worse. A few months ago here in New York, a guy's cell phone fell out of his pocket and into a toilet on a subway car just as he was flushing. Without thinking (I'd hope), he plunged his hand down the drain to try to snatch the phone. End result: His hand got stuck. When he realized he couldn't free himself, he called for help. Concerned passengers called the transit police. In the end, they had to stop the whole train, and a fire crew had to break down the door. The EMS people couldn't get his hand free, and ended up having to remove him -- with his hand still jammed into the toilet bowl -- from the subway car in front of a cheering and laughing crowd of hundreds. Honest to god, I am not making this up. They eventually freed him by cutting the steel bowl, but due to all the damage incurred and inconvenience, he now owes about $10,000 to the city. Oh, and his picture appeared in all the papers. Moral: Don't take your creme into the restroom on a subway train. Question: Who in god's name plunges his hand into a public toilet in the NYC subway system, of all places? Now you know why I live here. All the free entertainment. Atticus

I might be poking the snake tool down the drain to check for any obstacles.

I know my husband would plead ignorance if he was the culprit, as he also pretends to be selectively deaf as well as blind. What, me? Did I do that? I didn't know...(smile).
