how's it goin, campers? just got back from my vacation.
i gotta share this with y'all..i went on a job interview last week, and even though i didn't get the job, the experience was pretty positive for me. i had much more confidence than i normally do (i have social anxiety in job situations and interviews). the interviewer lady even said, "i really like you..i don't know what it is about you." i was so happy that i got my real self across in the interview, instead of some frozen, nervous person (although i did kind of fall apart at the end of the interview, but still, it's progress). i just wish i had the drive to go on another interview. i've been pretty darn depressed/stressed recently, so i haven't even applied to other jobs. also, i'm taking zip for anxiety, so i'm winging this. wish me luck! :-)

Well done on not feeling badly about not getting the job. I know you've been at home for a while so it took a lot of courage to go on that first interview. The next interview, when you are ready for it will no doubt be even better than the first because you have used the whole experience with so constructively even though you were feeling stressed.
Take your time before the next interview. Ride the stress and depression out first. You are already on such an encouraging step forward.
Good luck!

Amy:
Just keep at it. The practice is really important for one to polish their interviewing skills. I'm not shy but the countless interviews over the years have helped me learn how to consistently interview with confidence, intelligence, sincerity and flexibility. If I don't get an offer, I'm usually certain it's not because i flubbed the interview. You may want to consider applying for jobs you don't even want, in order to have more interview experience.
