hi jai,
ok, here's the scoop. you've heard about the new a/d cymbalta...i've been on it since sept 10th and have lost 8 pounds in what, six weeks, without really doing anything different.
i have always tried to watch my portions but that never made any difference in the past. i haven't added any more exercise than i usually do, which is walk the dogs every nite. i have read on pb that others on cymbalta have lost weight as well. i got on the scale the other day thinking, "geez, i can forget that i had cookies" and i still had lost 2 more pounds. i don't know how long this will last but i am loving it while it does. cymbalta also seems to make me feel full earlier, so i don't eat my full meal.
then there are other wierd things going on after i started cymbalta. i know it's the halloween season but this stuff is weirding me out if it's related (which i can't swear to obviously) but here goes
1.) my nails are growing. my nails have peeled and broken for years. now they are strong and growing.
2.)i have more estrogen if you know what i mean
3.)my jaw has been clenched for two years. it has unclenched. i guess that means the muscles have relaxed. headaches are much fewer.
4.) need half the meds to get to sleep.just strange little things i have noticed.
hope this helps. let me know if you want further info jai.sara

This time I'd just like to list just one thing I'm grateful for. I am grateful for the beauty I see in others. It's giving me so much joy. I'd just like to say that.
... and I see beauty in all of you. It comes through.
Thank-you.
This is the end of the thread.
