Hi there. I havent posted lately because I havent been feeling so good and I hate to complain. I have been out of sorts and kind of anxious. I am hoping this will pass. I also hope that all of you are doing great. I pray for you all everday. I am still here I just havent posted lately. I am so sorry to be such a downer. I want you all to know that you are in my thoughts daily.
I am happy about my new grand daughter, Brooklyn. She is precious.
Sometimes I feel like I am losing it and I am so sick of that. I am not giving up I just get tired of feeling like this. I hope someday we all feel good at the same time that would be great. Take care all of my friends and God bless you. Ali

Hey, ali . . . take your time, sweetie. I just came back from a black hole, myself recently. But don't think that you will bring anyone down in here. If you are able to post, we would love to offer support and hugs - we have all been in the ditch before. If you are not able to post, then we understand that, too.
Thanks for posting . . . I know it must have been hard to do.

Hey looking for some feedback..I'm trying desperately to lose some added weight between 8-10lbs to be exact..I have noticed that it settled all in my belly...I know that i work out like a maniac so i'm not sure what is going on i make it to the gym 5-6 days a week and for about 2 hours each time lately..and have picked up weight watchers and still havent budged..does anyone else have the problem mostly in the belly...I'm also the age of 42 that might have something to do with it..hahahah but just was wondering ..I'm thinking about decreasing my meds a little even though they seem to be working good..but I have very high cholesterol also that i have to go on meds for and the weight doesnt help..any feedback would be appreciated..
Hey good to see you continuing on there jlynne you were missed and it is a good sign that you want to share ...maybe because you realize you have people that care and you can vent to ..we are always here for you as you can see..we say we are leaving but as soon as someone needs us were right back at ya...always and forever...susilala..good to see same with you..you are not alone and if you feel more comfortable just reading and not always posting that is fine...we are here for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mystic,
I am going to the p-doctor today, and we will be discussing sexual side effects AND the weight I've gained in my belly. Just my belly. I have been hitting the gym as much as possible, walking my dogs, and taking in about 1800 calories a day--all to little avail. You are not the only one who has noticed this. We will also be discussing a possible switch back to celexa, because I did not have these problems while I was on celexa. I am not sure that I didn't gain on celexa, but it seems to me like it worked better.Edna

Hey girls,
Now that you mentioned the belly weight gain I have also noticed weight gain in my belly. I have gained about 13 pounds on the Lex and I think most of it went into my belly.
I have never been one to gain anything in my stomach, my belly has always been the one thing to stay flat, but not anymore. Edna I am curious to see what your p-doc says about that. Please let Mystic and I know.
Have a great day, I hope Lexy is doing better and Jlynne you sound much better.
Mrs. C are you feeling any better yet?

. . . i gained about 15lbs on the lex. I lost about five of it within a month of going off, but am having trouble losing any more.
I plan to start walking again. This must not go on!!
Good luck to all who are struggling with this - doesn't help the self-esteem at all, does it?

The connection I make to weight gain is these drugs make me incredibly LAZY. Back when I was high strung and panic attacky, I would run and run and run and never sit down...I was 145 three years ago...NOW? 180. YUCK. I have gained 10 since JUNE WEDDING!!but then again the motivation is gone. I can live with myself this way, But it sucks. I can have a hot bod at 145, bodacious bosoms and relatively flat belly, and wear a sz 8-10..Now at sz 14-16.BLAH PLUS SZ@@

Yeah I feel the same way, the meds cause you to be so lazy and it drives me crazy because I always feel like I am pushing or forcing myself to do something. Everynight I say that tomorrow I am going to be more motivated and start doing more activities, but sometimes it is so hard for me just to get out of bed and it's not because I am depressed or anything it's just because I am so tired and lazy.
Why can't we find a med that just fixes the problem without doing something else to you.
I hope we all find that drug someday, however I am thankful that we have something to help us through our anxiety now. Today I was feeling a little anxious and I haven't felt that way in so long. I hope the meds are not fading on me.

with every a/d that i have been on i have gained weight in the same place...my belly. Very weird. For the first time I have not gained weight in my stomach being on Cymbalta. My stomach is relatively flat for the first time in many many years. For that reason alone i am going to stick with it and keep raising the dosage as far as i can until i get anti=depressant relief.

well, actually i thought i was doing good, but i got a lets be civil message from doctor bob. this may be my last post ever. i am hurt and i dont know if i want to be a part of this site anymore. i am pretty upset. i spent a long time trying to word my post perfectly and i get in trouble. i am 23 years old, i kinda feel like a child that got in trouble in school. i refuse to let someone make me feel like that. i have tried to do nothing but make friends with people on here. if i dont talk to you again, i will miss you. i dont need this s*(^. oops, i will proabably get in trouble for that too. i dont care.

Oh, jessica . . . please, don't go. Even mystic got a pbc before. It's no big deal. Dr. Bob doesn't mean anything personal - you are a very important part of our board, and it would be a shame if you left because of this. You will look back on it and laugh some day . . . I promise!

i can compare my feeling to when u put your heart into a school paper and you get a C. i dont want to be a part of this. i can email you guys. do you have buddy list where we can IM? i have gotten a PBC before but i saw why. not this time. i have to stand up for myself. i dont want to be told to be civil when i was totally civil, i am not a baby. i have one dad, i dont need another. read what i wrote him. he will probably kick me off. who cares, i went down standing up for myself and my opinion. i dont let people let me feel dumb.
