Note: [1] Reference to Nietzsche's book Also Sprach Zarethustra. This reference has double meaning in the song. Nietzsche's philosophy was espoused in misinterpreted form by the Nazis in their quest for pan-european domination; and composer Richard Straus used it as the title of a musical compostion, later used as theme music by Stanley Kuberik in his movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These are currently my favorite song lyrics, but although I could understand someone getting Richard Strauss' name wrong, how can someone misspell Kubrick? The note needless to say was not written by mark E. Smith.
