What time of year did you go? I don't think I could save up enough money til at least spring and then there's that pesky ocean to get across when I have trouble getting out my front door some days.....but still
I read a novel about Hadrian's wall and then I saw a history channel special and I thought I really need to have a goal that's not practical like fencing the backyard or something. I've been on the net this am researching it and who knows? Maybe I really could!

I walked a bit of Hadrian's Wall and got chased through a field by a young bull to get to it. Very exciting. I love the Roman bits of Britain.

It was in 1989 and I was spending my Junior year in college at the University of Edinburgh. Scotland is such a magical place. I try to go once every two or three years. I'm a big Scottish COuntry Dancer so I go every other year to an international summer school at St. Andrew's and just dance for a week straight.
