Going away for the weekend

Posted by partlycloudy on September 3, 2004, at 15:26:35

Since I am the perpetual poster, I didn't want anyone to think I *gasp* wasn't coming back. This week was a bad one. Up, down, forward, backwards, work b.s., migraines, hormones, I want to trade the whole lot in and stay in bed for the rest of the year. OK? No showers, no coming down for a cup of tea. Send my meals up if you please - and that's original Oreo cookies, whole milk. WOuld someone call the office on Tuesday and tell them I've had enough and need to take a break? That my little brain, heart and soul can't take the slightest push? That I'm a wimp and a weepy cry-baby, and if someone asks me if I'm OK, they better be handing me a tissue at the same time.
I am so tired.
See you next week. Thanks for listening.

Partlycloudy, I'm with you but I like my milk heated up with a drop of honey in it. And I prefer shortbread, I'm a butter addict. Psst, do you *have* to go away for the weekend? I mean, are you leaving home? Because if you are that sounds pretty stressful.

Had to turn back

after going 140 miles south. No gasoline anywhere. Not an evacuation area. Makes you wonder what on earth would happen if the storm turned and headed where we were. No one would be able to leave. Saw cars abandoned by the side of the road. Curled up on the sofa at home. I can sleep now.

PC, I'm so glad you have a chance to take care of yourself. 140 miles is a long way to go to have to turn back. The trip sounds eerie. ((((PC))))

Bummer about the gas. But I give you great credit for braving the storm a far as you did. What a great adventure!

Hi pc

Hope you managed to get a good few hours of well deserved sleep and will feel a bit better this week.
