Yes lexy it is all normal or not normal who knows what is normal anymore..but the point is as soon as you start you will feel better..i know that for me i obsess terribly that I'm going to die and that i have some terrible disease and that george is going to die and then after i start it all makes sense again..so hang in there..it will get better..always remember my friend that anxiety makes us think that it is always and forever...everything is always and forever and that isnt the truth if you journalled you could look back and see this to be true...I always say that I have been feeling this way forever and reasonably it has been a couple days...
We are here for you always because we care about you very much and will help you through everything as you help us...take care my friend..Mystic

hey Lexy,
I get the same way before my period, I get shakey and feel like I am freaky out inside or something. Its very hard to explain. I always have to take a xanax during my period because it's a terrible feeling. I also emailed you on your personal email this morning because I heard from Mystic that you werent' feeling good.
Did you take the Klonopin? That should help with those feelings.
Keep us posted.

Lexy,
I feel the same way during my period and it makes me crazy. I feel like I don't want to be near my husband and sometime he even discusses me and all I want to do is tell him off and wish that he would go out or somthing. It's awful but it should pass don't worry. It's this hormonal imbalance I swear. Hang in there and try to relax it will pass.

Hey yo-yo's,
How is everyone doing? I have been away for sometime but still checking the post. I had family come in from California and I have been entertaining for the last two weeks not to mention that my computer at home is in the shop so I have to write from work.
UPdates please, I have been away for over a week and I don't have a clue how everyone is doing besides mystic who I talk to almost everyday and now I know how lexy is doing and it sounds like we are doing the same this week.
Please post and let me know how you all are doing.
Take care,
Anxious babe

Hey I need help I am gaining so much weight from the Lexapro and I don't know what to do. I have gained 15 pounds since I have started taking it and although it makes me feel pretty good anxiety wise I am getting so depressed because of the weight gain. The first 5 or 7 pounds I can deal with, but now it's really getting noticable and I don't fit that well in my pants.
I just joined the gym and weight watchers, but I don't know if that will help. I hear so many people say that they diet and excercise and still can't lose the weight from the Lex. Please help!!! all advice welcome.

Lexy, My hubby makes me sick around my time of the month. Not only am I not attracted to him, but I can't stand him. It goes away after I get my period and doesn't happen every month. But most months it does. I love him dearly and we still have a great romantic relationship after 15 years of marriage!! If this feeling lasts all month, then I would start to wonder. For now, blame it on the hormones. Thinking of ya and love ya, Mrs. C

Anxious, as you know I have lost weight while taking Lexapro. It is not impossible to do. I am very resistant to weight loss but Atkins is working for me. I personally feel that feeling good on the inside is much more important than your weight. Weight can be taken off with hard work but finding the right med can be much harder. Hang in there girlfriend, I know how depressing gaining weight can be. I have battled with it all my life. Ten more pounds to go and I will be at 140. Which is slim for me and a place where I will feel comfortable. I have finally come to accept that I will never be 125 pounds ever again without completely starving myself. Not willing to do that, I love food!! You can do this, I know you can!! Mrs. C

Thank you Mrs. C you are right about finding the right meds and I am going to try and work really hard at eating right and excercising.
The really strange thing is as much as the weight has been bothering me lately, when it comes to not eating something that I am not suppose to or going to the gym I get the I don't care attitude. It's really crazy - it's almost like the med gives me the I don't care attitude for taking the right steps to lose the weight and then the other side of me makes me crazy over gaining the weight. So hard for me to explain!! does anyone understand what I am trying to say?
Anyways thanks for all your advice...how are you doing?

Hey Mrs C.
THanks so much for that. I am already starting to feel better. I saw him this morning and felt like "oh yea, I love this guy"... I think if I did not have so much anxiety that along with the PMS stuff which makes me hate men anyway...I worried about it and that made it even worse. We are going to Las Vegas tomorrow and I think that it will be nice to get away from work and law school for us.
We have had a lot of fun together so far but I freak out and of course it makes it seem like everything is bad...I HATE HORMONES>>>>
Thanks for the support!!!

Hello my yo-yo friends,
I am just checking in to see if anyone posted. I use to get notified on my email, but I don't get notified anymore and I can't understand why - has anyone else had that problem?
The boards are getting quiet now even during the week so I am trying to do my best to post everyday and keep up with everyone and to see how you are all feeling.
We need to stick together!!!! So keep posting yo-yo's.
Love to all,

Hello,
I'm new here. I'm getting off of Effexor (nightmare) 40 lb weight gain and I didn't even feel good. I was going to try Lexapro but now I'm reading that it causes weight gain too. ARGHHHH!!! Is there nothing out there that doesn't cause this?? I guess if I'm happy it doesn't matter, but I can't stand myself right now. I have Hep C as well so energy level isn't great on top of depression. I've been on antidepressants for 20 years and never had such a weight gain. Being fat hasn't helped the intimacy part of a marriage either.
thanks for listening.

Ababe,
I do understand, completely. It is so difficult to do the right thing especially when it comes to food. I just got back from lunch out with the kids. Of course they wanted KFC, which I love. But I ordered the baked chicken and green beans and watched them eat the good stuff. It really sucks!!! I hate skinny people!! Ha Ha just kidding all you skinny girls out there, I just envy you.
