Mystic (and all the yo-yo's) . . . trucker has lost a dear friend and has gone to Ohio to attend his funeral. Please, say many prayers for her as she is feeling great pain.

P.S. The sundaes were a great idea for Mystic's party. Do you want to be in charge of refreshments for the parties again this weekend???

jlynne,
If you "talk" to her, give her our sympathy and tell her she is in our prayers.

> It seems that my OCD is back. I spent every spare minute today worrying about my gland in my neck. Feeling it and obsessing over it. Feeling hopeless that something is terribly wrong with me but not even sure if the gland is even swollen. It is very small and I am probably making it worse by probing it constantly. I honestly cannot control the urge to check it every spare minute. Have any of you had experiences like this.
Not that experience exactly, but other things like checking to make sure the doors are locked. You might think that isn't so bad, but on a bad day, by my 17th trip around the house to check doors that "I think I locked... but maybe not..." it is pretty clear this isn't normal behavior. When I fill out a form, any form, I check and double check and triple check to make sure all the fields are filled out properly, and then I am not sure I was really paying attention when I checked the first six times so I recheck... And I have mental checklists for everything. It can be extremely frustrating and exhausting to do even the simplest task on a "bad day". So I know how you feel. But for some reason the OCD seems to come and go, and I have been doing somewhat better lately.
> Sorry to bother you all with this and you must think I am totally nuts. I feel totally nuts believe me. I have noone else to share this with and it really helps to get it out.
Hey, no one thinks you are nuts. Share away. Most people wouldn't understand. But I dare say with all your Yo-Yo friends here, someone is likely to understand on some level anything you are going through.
> I hope that you guys still want me to be a yo yo.
Sorry, but you have to stay. You signed a lifetime contact and we cannot let you out. By the way, I doublechecked and triplechecked to make sure you signed your contract... or did I??? LOL
> I am really scared right now that I am always going to think I have some disease and I will never just be happy.
You have had better times before, and they will get better again. Don't give up hope on getting past this once and for all. Nothing is forever (well, except for your Yo membership).
God bless,
Simus

Simus, have I told you lately that I love you...wait...isn't that a song. OH NO, now I am singing to. AHHH! Anyway, thanks for your message. I don't think I realized that you suffered from OCD too. All the posts that I have received have really helped me. I already feel much better today and have not had to check my neck since this morning. That's good! Mrs. C

I talked with Trucker this evening . . . she said to tell you all thank you for the kind thoughts and the prayers. She is looking forward to going home so that she can process her feelings; she will share the details when she gets back.
She said she is planning on heading back Saturday morning, and there is a possibility that hubby might be able to meet up with her and provide a warm shoulder and a soft bed to catch some winks on the way home. (I get nervous about her driving all that way non-stop.)
And she is hoping to be back online for the b.d. par-tay on Sunday!!
God bless you, Trucker . . . we love you, sweetie.

I know what you mean, dear . . . I have been feeling a little disoriented the last few days, (probably the CANCER that is growing in my neck lol). Anyway, when I am feeling like this, my routines get all screwed up and I feel like I am losing control - and I get scared that I will do something (or FORGET to do something!) that will mess things up really bad. It's like the signals in my brain are mis-firing and the connections are just haphazard, and I do things like put the milk in the cupboard, or use my conditioner before I shampoo, or reach for things to the right that are (and always have been) on the left . . . and on and on. I will be glad when I am feeling better again - I much prefer the "some" days over the "others".

Me too! That is why I keep checking things. Have you ever had to turn around and go back home to check and see if the iron is unplugged, and halfway expect to see just a pile of smoking soot where your house was?

Yes - exactly!

Yep. Me too.Simus
P.S. If it isn't too late, I like the chocolate ice cream topping that hardens on the ice cream...

Oh, my . . . if I use the iron I have to cool it off with a wet rag and take a poloroid of myself putting it away before I can leave the house! same with the coffe pot . . . I actually called my daughter (who lives about 3 miles away from me) awhile back to go unplug it for me because I was too far away to come back when I thought of it (yes, it was already unplugged when she got to my house . . . so does that surprise anyone? didn't think so LOL)

Hey yoyo's...Therapy was very very tough today and I'm not feeling very good I have to go back next week twice so I'm not real excited about that either but he said after todays work that we really shouldnt wait to long before getting back at it to avoid feeling like i do right now for a prolonged period..I just want to forget about it and dont want to work on it anymore..I really dont feel good right now and I'm sorry to be a downer I will be ok tomorrow...
I wanted to just write a quick post as to melissa...She is ok she is upset right now as she wasnt ready for either diagnosis...she does not have the graves disease and that is good she has the one where for 3 months she will be in hyperthyroidism and then she will be 3 months in hypothyroidsm..and then hopefully level off..she is on a medication starting today and she is very upset as to when she goes into the hypo stage which is coming up she will be gaining a considerable amount of weight as the dr had said...He does not know about her eating disorder and it was the wrong thing to say I was trying to down that a little but she has been sooooo good with the baby and has not been in her habits and she knows that she cant go there again but you have to realize that it is in your brain as is the disorder that we all suffer and she is really giving it a true effort as her love for ryan is more important but it is just a huge blow to her...I'm very proud of her and will stand by her through thick and thin pray everynight that her eating disorder demons will stay in check as we all know somethings we just cant control when it comes to our mental well being..>So I'm done and I'm very emotional right now but didnt want to not post as everyone is so supportive and they have been asking about her...god bless everyone..i will be here for the birthday festivites and I love you all....Your friend yoyo Mystic
