I just read today's Agnes in the funny pages. Love this line, about her "theme" for her life:
"...I guess it was trying to keep the edgy hedgehog of despair from nibbling my heels as I desparately struggled to dance the mad polka of hope."
Can you picture it?

Python fans may recall Spiny Norman, the 40-ft hedgehog that plagued Dinnsdale Pirannah ... an "edgy hedgehog of despair" if there ever was one!
Mad Polkas of Hope make me think about Saturday nights at the PLAV hall, which is almost as frightening as Spiny Norman! (PLAV = Polish League of American Veterans ... one of the hotspots of my hometown.)
