not doing so well

Hey Ya'll,
I am not feeling so well today. I have been doing well for about a month but for the past few days things have not been going so well. I cried last night for no reason and today again I have had a lump in my throat. It could be the stress of school, homesickness ect but it is just a really big let down because I had been feeling so well lately. I am on the tail end of my period, I am wondering if this could have anything to do with it? Anyway, support and advice is MUCH appreciated!
Thanks, God Bless
Lexy

hey lexy. i'm sorry to hear things aren't going well. remember we all have ups and downs that are unrelated to the lex. i felt AWFUL the entire week i had my period, plus for a few days before. this is your first one since going on the 20 right? i'm SURE it's related. you are so lovely lexy, you are such a bright spot for so many people. i've just started on the 20 largely because it worked so well for you! remember, tomorrow is another day :)

Lexy, that is just how I was feeling last weekend, when I was afraid I was crashing again, remember? Didn't you just recently increase your Lex? It is probably connected, I would think. For me, crying out on this board and then doing some good, hard physical labor helped to ease it back.

You can get through this . . . and then you will be able to tell your future clients how to get throught it:~)

Hang in there. (((HUGS)))

oh man mag, that is a TINY amount of paxil! i was on 20 mg, and they didn't even start me at less, that was my initial dose...starting when i was 18. i can't imagine you'd have problems upping. keep in mind you're still on a VERY small dose. emily

I know I only posted a couple of days ago and got a nice reply from K and Bill (thanks) but I was kinda hoping for a little more response. This coming monday will be my 12th full week of taking 10mg of lexapro. I upped my doseage yesterday to 15mg. The last 10 days have been the worst since I started with GAD and depression at xmas. Very high anxiety and all the symptoms that go with it. I figured I had pooped out and after following the board for a while now decided it might be time to up it. I cant ask my pdoc for advice because he is on holiday and wont talk to patients over the phone anyway and my next appointment is in May!!! I am looking for advice and support from fellow lexapro takers coz my morale is kinda low (understatement). So any contact via here, msm, e-mail would be really good ( I will provide email address to any interested parties) and I will try my best to support others as well. Didnt know if this should be in babble or social.....probably both. Please write soon

hi andy. i am in my 8th week on lex. i was on 10mg for 5-6 weeks, 15 for 2, and am now on 20. in my opinion and i think most on this board, 10mg is not that much lex. i didn't start feeling like "myself" until the 20. i would certainly try upping. i have felt everything...i was honestly convinced i was going crazy. my head was fuzzy, i felt out of it...i'm just now starting to feel better at 20mg! hope it helps. emily

Hey Andy,
Welcome to the board and our lexapro family. I was convienced that I did not need more than 10mg of lexapro and stuck it out for 10 weeks. I saw some good results but in no way was past my depression, which was so discouraging. I went up to 15 for about two weeks and then went up to 20 (just staring my second week.) For about the past month I have been feeling pretty darn good. I have had a bad couple days but it has been really cold and rainy here for the past week plus I am in my last 3 weeks (22 days!) of graduate school and at this point am so stressed I am proud to be able to remember my name!
Andy, I would not be afraid to up the dosage of lexapro, I only wish I had done it sooner.
PS.. what part of the UK are you from? I love traveling and have been quite a few places over there!
Good luck , God bless and please keep in touch!
Lexy

Hey Mag,
Please do not be afraid to up your paxil dose. I know my friend started on 20 then quickly moved up to 37.5, I hope you had a good birthday and get some good celebrating in!
