Hi, Mystic. I seem to be losing the battle this morning . . . Very tired, no energy, headachy (oh, yeah . . . just like everyone else on this board! LOL). I have changed the time I take the lex to early pm, but it seems to have made the fatigue worse. I guess I will go back to a.m.'s and hope that the energy comes back eventually.
The grandkids are great - they are what makes life really worth living. I won't even try to explain that - there is just no way for you to believe how you are going to feel about it until it happens. You will see:) I will be taking the two older boys home this afternoon, but bringing back the little one (2yrs old) for tonight and tomorrow.
I hope your mouth is feeling better. It must have been hard on your jaw to keep it open for that much work.
God bless. ...jlynne

Hey, Magdalena. The kids and I really liked "Radio" . . . there were some sad moments, but it is really a "feel good" movie. We were all smiling big at the end:)

Hey Girl,
5mg is not very much paxil at all. Most people I know on it take at least 15mg. If you are not seeing any improvement you may want to pop your dose up. Good luck

Ya'll
"I" how funny that we all seem to cycle together. I remember when I was a cheerleader in high school and we all had ours at the same time but who tought it could work via cyber space. Hahaha... at least we are not alone.

Hey Mag...it is frustrating that it takes so long to get into see a dr when you dont feel good!!!...I think that you will need to go to a higher dose of the paxil because you are at a very low dose and that might be why you dont think it is doing any good..Or you could also inquire about the lexapro..>But you know from reading the posts that you are going to be anxious for a while on anything that you take and it is just the way the meds are but you will get through it and we will help and you will be ok..So I really wish that you were going sooner because I dont want you to be anxious...I want you to start to feel better...But we are here for you and after our cycles we will all be cured...(well almost)...But hang in there and I promise you will get through...Mystic

Thanks Edna, I know that you know what you're talking about! My headache has actually gone away so far today. Let's hope it stays away. How have you been. You don't post very much anymore. I hope that's a good sign that you are feeling much better. Thanks again. Mrs. C

Mrs. C and all,
Thank you for thinking about me. I guess we're not all meeting in the social place after all.
It's midterm at the university I teach at, I've had a lot of students to deal with who haven't been doing their work and now expect to pass the class anyway, and my baby and I have been sick. Then last week a student's promising and talented 16-year old daughter died of a pulmonary embolism--and she phoned me to say that because of that she wouldn't be able to pick up her take-home midterm. I am devasted by this news; last night she came back to class and she told me privately that she and her dauhgter were in bed together when it happened. So I would like to ask that you all pray for Susan and Pat, too. Mrs C. and all of you, take care.
Love, Edna

> ...jlynneHi jlynne,
I have posted on the other board but this is my first here. We are around the same age as I am also through menopause. I have been fighting this anxiety/depression for almost 2 yrs.I have 3 grandchildren who live close & there are days that I simply cannot keep them. They make me so nervous.I have finally learned to look out for myself instead of worrying what people think so I keep them if & when I want to. I enjoy this new post.

Mystic, thanks for responding. I just got up - it's noon here.
It's just that the tears and the pain and the hopeless feelings are starting to come back again.
I can't decide if I need to increase, or maybe decrease, or give up and try something else. I have been at 15mg for a couple weeks now, and the s/e's haven't got better since the increase; I am afraid they will get worse if I go to 20mg. I am just so tired of this medicine game.
Thank you for caring. ...jlynne
P.S. Thank you to everyone else who has responded to my post. Please, forgive me if I am not up to answering each of you separately right now.

Mystic, you are going to be just great tomorrow, I know it. You are such a kind, giving person and I know everyone who will be at the party knows that, too. The focus will be on your daughter tomorrow, so all you really have to do is to let it happen. We women are very good at taking care of each other, you know, and everyone there will be of help to make it a wonderful experience for you and your daughter. Your daughter is very lucky to have you for her mother.
I hope you are feeling a little better. Maybe tomorrow you could visualize that everyone here will be there with you making you feel safe. I did that on the freeway the other day; all the people in the other cars were people from this board, and I felt really safe inside; I even smiled.
I am doing a little better. My bed looked very inviting a little while ago, but I opted to stay upright, and then I started my laundry and dusted my living room. It helps to be doing something constructive, I guess. Now I am going to see how much encouragement I can get out of the vacuum cleaner [LOL].
I hope you have a gentle evening. Be good to yourself tonight:)
