Oh sweet babblers (ettes included here too)
you'll never know
how great you are
And I won't tell
So try to think
You're as great a I
Think I am as well..Does that sound rude? Or perhaps arrogant? I don't perceive myself that way, and I'm never wrong. So I can't be. Just feeling good. Yes, that's it...
To those of you who know who you are, so I won't name names and leave others out....
Thanks for keeping in touch. I appreciate it. And somehow I'm not nearly as bored anymore. go figure. I almost thought I would be stressed out for a second today, as I lost (can you believe that??? I LOST!!!) the disk with a huge english proposal on it. So, I didn't freak out and I starteed redoing the whole blasted thing and half-way through I somehow stupidly restarted my computer. So, after 3 attempts, I have the best English proposal in the WHOLE world and still have time to spare... How do I do it you ask? I haven't a clue, as I know for a fact my prof is a pansy and I could have gotten an extension on it. But, I didn't make excuses today. And I finished a very well done proposal. And Elle's back. And Phil's back. And I just couldn't be more pleased about everything that's happening right now. Well, I can think of a few things that would make me happier...like a diamond ring, but not from my old man of course. But, other than that, I'm pleased as pie....
Thank you all for your continuing support, though I must say I don't feel that I need it as much as I did a few months ago. So, I'm going to make a promise. To try to be even more supportive of everyone else here, wait.. is that possible? Yes, I think so.... Here comes the new kk? No, not really, but improved for sure... (Think I'm having a mood switch or is this jsut happiness??? I can never tell...)

Hi Karen,
Congrats on the great English proposal. Like you'd let a computer misshap mess up your feeling good again.
Do keep babbling on how great we are. I'm great? That's not what my inner critic tells me and she's never wrong...but if you're always right, too. We have a standoff.

Poet my dear
can you not hear?
When I say you're great
why must you debate?Your beauty is grand
and your posts, they demand
you be heard far and near
by all you hold dear.
So Poet, listen up. If you could possibly intice me to make words sound similar AND make sense, then you must have something in you. If I know you do, then you should know it too. How could you not admit how very great you are sweetie? I think you're great and I suppose that's not debatable. So, if you choose to listen to yourself, go ahead, I won't stop you. BUt, I must warn you, I'm a very good judge of character and I think you are ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Just repeat it to yourself until you believe it dear, and with your grace, it shouldn't take longer than a few seconds. It's just actually saying it the first time that's the hard part. And I could go on and on forever. If you'd like me to, I will.. In fact....Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're absolutely WONDERFUL. Poet, you're fantastic. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great..... Should I continue? Maybe just a little bit longer...Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you're great. Poet, you are great! Poet, you are absolutely one of the most special and dear people I know. It's an honor to know you. Thank you for the privilage to allow me to know you. How can I ever repay you? If I can, please let me know, ok???

Penny my dear
have you no fear
great times are near,
at least have a beer?Penny, my sweet,
you have lovely feet.
With hair like a beet,
oh, when shall we meet?
Penny, I know times a bit rough for you right now and I'm sorry. You deserve nothing but sunshine and rainbows and puppies. I hope you get to feeling better soon sweetie. You don't have to bother posting back. I just want you to have a smile hun. Feel better soon and take care of your lovely self, ok? You're missed around here, but you're number one priority is taking care of you and returning with that shiny and pretty personality you always seem to have. We miss and adore you completely. Take care of yourself, I would if I were as special as you are... (And everyone knows I'm not nearly as special as you are dear!)

Karen,
You’ve been doing such a fabulous job with the poems lately, I figured it’s only right for someone to pay homage to *the* loveliest Babbler around. So, after hours and hours (okay, maybe minutes and minutes) of laborious work (I mean come on, I’m an accountant, not a poet), this is what I have come up with…
Ahem, An Ode to Karen’s Therapy
We have to review
Sweet KK and oh so fine Bubba
Karen says no more transference
no more hubba, hubbabut he says don't you worry
as he sends her to group
if things get bad
I'll get you back in a swoopso Karen brings him a brownie
and with juice he eats it
while she talked and talked
with honesty and some witcan you believe all this happened
when she was blocked for a week
what on Earth could we do
not a post could she sneakso now she’s back
and posting with glee
the beautiful, the talented
KK, Yipee!Something tells me I have a little too much time on my hands… :)

And a bit scared. Maybe you people know just a bit too much about me, eh? Thank you for taking time away from your busy, money-hungry, tax-collecting, stealing money from my mouth because my old man can't claim me as a dependent EVEN THOUGH he provides my income, day to post such a lovely poem about me and my past week. Though, I regret it's not more exciting. :( I'll work harder this week to do SOMETHING so you have something fairly interesting to write about. Perhaps an arrest? Or maybe manic phase full of sexual indiscresions? Or maybe I'll continue to do nothing and I'll just lie and say I did all of the above? No, that wouldn't be much fun. But, I am going away on Saturday and I should be full of all kinds of excrement when I return! Yes, now this trip should make for a lovely poem, as my friends are even wilder than I.
Thank you for the poem, it was lovely and almost brought a tear to my eye, from laughter of course.

How could I have forgotten to write something sweet for you, my dear? Sheesh. Forgive me please? Here goes nothing....
Ode to All Done
All Done goes to Beefcake
and though he's no prize
like that of fine Bubba
he's still just her sizeShe walks through the office
with a bounce in her step
and a slit up her skirt
Where's she get all her pep?The couch just won't do
so she sits in the chair
and looks at his ring
and in his eyes she will stareShe faces transference
With Beefcake each day
Just look at his nickname,
You'll see what I saySo All Done's not quite ready
for her time to be chilled
but she couldn't be happier
In fact, she's quite thrilledHow's that for the world's stupidest poem for the world's sweetest lady? I hope I captured the "essence" of your therapy sessions?

Well, my goodness, lovely Karen. You should go into the business of writing odes. Is there a business for that? I am so honored and you did a such beautiful job on the ode to me. Then again, I have given you some delightful material to work with - you know, *me* and Beefcake :). And it's hardly stupid. I'm so choked up, I can hardly type and our clients are going to wonder about their tear-stained tax returns.
I think if I ever decide to come clean with Beefcake about Babble, this just may have to be the first post I show him. Well, maybe second after the one where I compared him to a Grecian god ;).
Thanks for making me smile! You've turned my horrific workday around.

will you rub my feet?
And cook me some eat?
And dance to the beat?kid, you sweet man..
Will you be my fan?
And play with the band,
not just sit in the stand.kid, you're the best,
could this be just a test?
Of your patience no less..
Now go get some rest.kid, won't you be mine?
I'll spend your last dime.
You can buy we some wine.
We can have a fun time.kid, I must say
you're great all the way.
Now come out and play,
with me all the day.kid, this poem must end
but my love will not bend.
Your money please send,
to me and I'll spend.kid, please do not fear,
I do hold you dear.
Like a kick in the rear,
or a voice in my ear.ok, this is it,
an end to my wit.
My thoughts just won't quit,
of kid and his split.Come back kid, I miss you... Hope you like the poem, I wrote it JUST for you. And I mean every word of it. Let's not be strangers now, ok? I'd miss you if you were a stranger.

I am beyond flattered you'd take the time to write such a stirring poem for an oaf like me. You are as talented as you are lovely. Walt Whitman I'm sure is green with envy of your spectacular ablility with verse.......well I'm sure at least he's green.(he's been dead for over 100 years) I can only hope that I might be able to reciprocate and write you a poem, nay a sonnett, that at its best could only pale to your beauty, grace and charm. But I must try...........What rhymes with Vodka?

I think if you say them really, really, really fast, in a low whisper, they sort of rhyme. Besides, I'm a bourbon girl anyway. Couldn't you have figured that out by now? And now the question is, "What rhymes with bourbon?" and if you are drinking it, EVERYTHING does.
And kiddo, I'll rhyme all day long if it brings you back. How's your mean wife doing? Lovely as ever, I assume. You'll have to take a raincheck on that new poem however, as I've wasted all but about 5 hours of my day today and desperately need to catch up. I did somehow manage to get a few good hours in talking with someone dear, so the day wasn't wasted at all. In fact, it turned out to be very productive. I'll get back to you with that new poem, once I can get my German up to speed. Guten morgin unt Donke Shoen. (See, 1 year of German and I can say all that, aren't you impressed?)

Pegasus my girl
you about made me hurl
out of my chair
to the floor with a glareYou're posting's been slow
and Babble doesn't flow
with you not here
I've been living in fearSo, please stop the traveling
as my mind is unraveling
with the thought of your loss
I can't seem to floss
(I know, that one's bad.. it's early, forgive me..)And do continue reading
and if you must, breeding.
As the world could quite do
with a few more like youYes, I rather like that last verse, don't you?
Thank you Pegasus. How's everything going on your side of town? Hopefully things slow down for you soon and you can take it easy. As you can see, I have entirely too much time on my hands. This is what happens when your rapid pace slows. Maybe it's a good thing to keep busy, eh? Take care, ok?

A poem for a princess.... I only wish I could make it better, as you deserve far more than my weak mind can provide, but here comes something..
An Ode to Elle
Elle is really quite sweet
and she'll never cheat
on an exam or a test
instead, show her chest.Elle is my dear
who still lives in fear
of clowns, though not spiders.
Can Begonia reside her? (Of this fear, that is.)Elle loves her mum
and has a nice bum,
or so she does claim.
She's quite a dame.Elle is a cutie
with a firm bootie.
She does well in school,
and I think she's cool.Elle, sorry it's not all I wanted it to be, but if you didn't talk so much crap during the pageant I wouldn't have so much ammo to use against you. That's what you get, girlie! If only I could write sweet things, I would, but alas I can't so I have to resort back to my old ways of charm. And believe me, if I could write something meaningful, I'd do it in a second for you and everyone else on here...
So, who's next? I fear I could keep this crap up forever...

Ode to Miss Honey
Miss Honey and Bean
share something quite mean
with a furious pace
she talks to his faceMiss Honey wears skirts
and she loves to flirt
with Bean all day long
she'll break into songIf Bean were to inquire
for Miss Honey's desire
she'd be shocked to silence
and possibly violenceMiss Honey's quite cute
but can't play the flute
but if Bean were to want
she'd lie and she'd flauntWith a bounce in her step
Honey's full of pep
especially up stairs
With Bean's following glares
And of course by glares, I meant stares... But, I couldn't use the same word twice, could I? Miss Honey, I've missed you. Where in the world have you been? Avoiding me I presume? The red-eyed monster strikes again, I see. :) No reason to be jealous, I called Bean last night and told him it was over... He's all yours now. Let me know how things have been going. It's hard to poke fun at you when I don't know what's going on, my dear. Keep in touch lady friend of mine, and everyone knows that you are far lovlier than I am. Take care sweetie...

You did make me smile. Sorry for not posting back sooner - it's been a crazy busy day!!! I shared your 'ode' with my T last night - she loved it! :-)
I'm doing okay right now - will be better if the UNC Tar Heels win against Georgia Tech today in the ACC Tournament. Yes, I am a men's college basketball fan. I love the UNC Tar Heels. It is my alma mater, but I loved them before I was a student.
Anyway - I'm so glad you are back - I love your posts and you sound like you're doing pretty well right now, which is good to hear!
Oh - I have a pic of me as a grown-up in my yahoo pics - but I have it restricted for viewing by only certain folks - however, if you'll tell me your yahoo ID, I'll include you in the select group :-). If you want, you can email me at penny1076 via yahoo, etc.

Ode to Jai
Jai's had a rough day
and I'm here to say
I love her to death
in spite of her breath.Jai watches the birds
and cleans up their turds
from her car everyday
though it gets in her wayJai's as left as they come
and though she's not dumb
She gathers her news
and revisits the viewsJai's a real sweetie
and she loves Tweetie
She also drinks wine
and I think she's fine
(((Jai))) I'm sorry you're having an all-around-kick-in-the-pants-bad-day. Wish I could take that away. Things will work out for you hun. With your charm and wit, how could you not get yourself out of any situation you find yourself in? I have faith in you. You'll do fine and come out on top (or on your back, whichever you prefer...)

I am so uplifted that I am speechless. Maybe that will be good that I'm in this condition.....
I hope you are right but I am sure what ever happens....Martha Stewart and I will go quietly to our cells. I hate the color beige....I think it could drive me crazy....plus no windows in the cells...no fresh air.
I am worried but I will try to be brave....just like the little kid I was. I always had to be brave.
Thanks for the pretty poem and all your sweet loving...I appreciate you.

KK, How do you know I can't play the flute??? A lucky guess I'm sure.
I haven't been doing so well. I feel I am relapsing, hard. I feel like a failure to myself and to Bean.
I had about 5 inches of hair cut off on Friday hoping that would cheer me up, it didn't. O well, we'll see if Bean even notices on Thursday! I'll fall out of my chair if he says anything!
This is the end of the thread.
