I think the default is for photo albums to be 'private' - I'm not positive that's the case, but I had to actively set mine to 'public' so anyone can view it.
That is, if you were intending for us to be able to see your pic.

We had huskies when I was growing up - I have some pics of them I could post too! They're both gone now :-(
But no way can ANYONE beat my lil' Puddin' with her one-ear-up-one-ear-down, big brown eyes, and head cocked...she's a mutt, and totally unique!
And my lil' black dog, with her big ears and (you can't see it in the pic) curly tail...I mean, c'mon. And the pair of them TOGETHER????
sorry...you might have ME beat in the looks department, but your dog (who might be beautiful) can't beat my dogs in the cuteness dept!
ha!!!

I doubt I beat you in the looks department. Everyone loves a red head you know!!! And my dog is a red and white husky with blue eyes.... I highly doubt your "mutt" :) can beat that... Maybe we can have a poll? Are you up to the challenge fancy pants?

Well, perhaps so, but my hair is the only thing I have going for me, looks-wise. Whereas we all KNOW you're BEAUTIFUL!!!... I certainly am not, and would never claim to be...
>And my dog is a red and white husky with blue eyes.... I highly doubt your "mutt" :) can beat that... Maybe we can have a poll? Are you up to the challenge fancy pants?
Your dog does sound beautiful - and most huskies are beautiful (we had a silvery gray and white one with a blue eye and a brown eye) - but they aren't, IMO, cute. But my Puddin' - she is definitely cute!!! Though perhaps GG's doggy could beat her, depending on whether you go for the eternal puppy look (Puddin's actually 4 1/2 years old) or the scruffy lovable look.
So, I still feel confident that in the area of 'cuteness' Puddin' would beat your husky any day! But not in the beauty department - she's not beautiful, but she's so darn cute!!!
I'll have to find some more pics of her to post, so you will have to agree!!!

What kind of a name is puddin??? Come on now! Now, a name like Bodega! That's a manly dog name. That's a sledding dog name. Puddin sounds like your dog poops on the floor and barks at the tv.... Come on now... We used to tie spare tires to our dog and strap them to a harness and let him pull them around the park to wear him out... Now, I have a real dog, a manly dog. Go feed your dog a Jello pudding pop and see where it ends up. On the floor I would guess :)

Okay, I can't compete with a workhorse, I mean workdog, like Bodega. And Puddin' is quite cute, especially the ears. Have to wait and see the final results. Perhaps we need a doggie PB pageant?
My dog was named Daily because when we got her as a pup, we were only getting the newspaper on Sundays. We figured with a puppy peeing all the time, we would need more newspaper, so we decided to get it everyday. Hence we signed up for "daily" delivery. (collective "awwww").
Pen, I ruffled her ears for you. I believe the scruffy cute mutt look beats all! But then, we have yet to see Bodega.

Puddin' is named Puddin' because she looks like a Puddin', to me anyway! I knew that was to be her name the first time I saw her...
And she's pretty well behaved, BTW.
And I live in the southeast - so attribute the lack of a 'g' on the end of her name to the Southern brogue.
And it's a girly name b/c she's a girl! So a manly name wouldn't suit her, would it?
Anyway - what kind of name is Bodega???
My other dog's name is Penny (my little black dog) - hence my screen name... :-)
And I doubt seriously that a pudding pop would last long enough around my lil' fat Puddin' to make it all the way to the floor...

GG,
I agree - the cute scruffy dog look is hard to beat! The dog I had when I was in middle and high school was a scruffy mutt - some kind of terrier mix. His name was Jake - that was the name he had when we got him, so we didn't name him, but "Jake" suited him fine. He was such a good boy.
My mom, though, can come up with some of the strangest dog names - some examples: the dog we had when I was a toddler - Jawa, as in the characters from Star Wars. We then had our first husky whose name was Kryton, which I believe was named for a robot on "Buck Rogers" (do you see a theme here???), then, after Kryton was stolen, we got Curser, who was named after, you guessed it, the curser on a computer - actually, it was the name of the 'pet' or something on the short-lived sci fi 80s show "Automan."
Now my parents have a dachshund/chi mix, and his name is Doogie. And they have a dalmatian named Lucy. Tho' they call her "moose" more often than anything.
I'll post some more dog pics...
I love the "Daily" story! How long have you had her?

Pen,
We've had Daily about six and a half years or so. She has a TON of nicknames...some weirder than others. God help my kids if I ever have any...
Daily Doodle
Daily monster
Fluffy Flufferson
Pookie Pookerson
Smelly Smellerson (only when the bath is overdue)
Bitey Biterson (only when you are trying to get something she is eating away from her. She LOVES to eat paper products, plants, peanuts for the squirrels, cigarrette butts, you name it.)
Mui Poochinski
Hocus Poocus
Pooks
Punk (short for Pumpkin)
Most annoying doggie on the planet (See bitey name).
Cutest doggie on the planetI feel like that character on Saturday Night Live. You know, the one who sat by the copier and gave everyone stupid derivative nicknames. Oh well. We all have our little embarrassing behaviors.
I think Daily has some terrier in her too. Or maybe schnauzer. But officially she is beagle, bassett, and cocker spaniel. Can you believe it? When she was a pup, she looked like the rest of the litter, which all looked like beagles, except she had these longer hairs poking out from the short beagle fur. She's always been a little different looking. But we think she's the cutest dog in the world.
What is the story of your dogs?

HA!
So cute - love the nicknames.
Yeah, I usually call my girls various things other than their 'official' names: monkey dogs, pookie, punkin', pud n' pen, goosie girls, sweet baboos, baby dogs, and so on and so forth...
My mom calls Lucy - Lucy Mae, Lucy Goosie, Moose, Moosie, Lucy Mae Hambone, Lucy Mae Hammie, Mouly wan (don't ask - I'm not sure myself!!!)...
Doogie is Doog, Doogie Miner, Doogie Minerer, Sugey (shu-gee) Miner, Sug (shug), Minkie Miner, Ol' man Doog (as he's getting quite old), and so on...
Very very strange...I wonder sometimes if the poor things even know their names?
The story of my babies: I got Puddin' shortly after moving into my own apartment for the first time, about a year after I graduated college (spring 99). She was 3 months old - I was living in a garage apartment and had never asked my landlord about the prospect of pets - I went to Petsmart one day and they had the adoption group there and I saw her, called the landlord from the payphone outside the store!, and asked if I could have a puppy - he said, "Go ahead..." so I adopted her. She was so meek and submissive and sweet as could be. I never had a minute's trouble with her...
About three months later, I was looking for a companion for her and saw my lil' Penny at another Petsmart adopt-a-thon - I asked the woman about her, and she said they didn't know her history, they had only had her a week, she had just been spayed. They estimated she was about 1 1/2 years old, and she didn't like the other dogs. Some woman picked her up and then sat her on the floor in front of her and Pen just shook. She was so thin and her coat was dull and she looked pitiful. That woman said, "She's quite timid - would probably be a lot of work!" and left. I went in, drawn in by her size (she's now 13 lbs.), curly tail and sad eyes :-( and held her on her back like a baby, cradled in my arms. She licked my chin, and I had to have her! I went home, got my Pud and took her back to the store, where I introduced her to Pen, and Pen never growled once. Today they are the best of friends - but Penny still doesn't like other dogs!
Anyway, they have so saved my life on more than one occasion. I can't tell you how many times I have gone home feeling completely out of control, freaking out, upset, etc., and they were there with all the love in the world for me, completely unconditional, and kept me sane - brought me back to reality. I don't know what I would do without my baby dogs...
I really need to go to bed now!!! It's 15 til' one a.m. my time, and I have to work tomorrow!!!
argh...
Oh - I posted more pics of dogs and little me...

Pen, (is it okay if I call you that?)
Love the photo album. Your last pic. of you could be me in some ways. I love the bangs. My mom always used to "trim" mine, and she was NOT skilled at this. They were always crooked, and I have a bunch of cowlicks, making it much harder. But I love your hair. I am a redhead courtesy of Loreal. I would so love to be a natural redhead. Uh oh. If I am on the road to becoming more of my authentic, real self, does this mean I have to go back to being a brunette? And, god forbid, show all my gray????
Look at the ears on Doogie!
Thanks for posting these. All I could find was one baby pic. I am going to my mom's this weekend to find others and scan them in.
Take care,
gg

Pen is fine. It's what I call my dog most of the time... ;-)
Yeah, I have a cowlick and the bangs were probably trimmed by either mom or my grandmother. Sigh. It got worse - the summer before I started 9th grade my mom trimmed my bangs (when I still thought I could wear bangs!) and cut them WAAAAY too short! I was soooo upset. At least they grew out before I started high school! Now my hair is longish (past my shoulders) and a bit wavy (what little natural wave it has) and still red (I'm not going gray...yet) and no bangs. I like it best when it's a bit shorter and cut in a bob, but I haven't had it cut in a while. Oh well...
Those Doogie ears are the funniest things! It's like he got the length of the dachshund ears but the perkiness of the chi ears, and he can stick them more up or out to the side, but not down! It's hilarious. My grandmother always says my mom should have named him "Gizmo" after the creature on Gremlins b/c of those ears. Or Radar.
