you know what's depressing?

Posted by yesac on July 2, 2003, at 13:15:40

It's not THAT bad, but somewhat saddening when you are leaving on vacation (like I am) and I only said goodbye to a couple people at work. I wrote a note to my roomates - this is all they know about me leaving. I considered not even writing one and just taking off, but thought that the polite thing to do would be at least let them know. I'm driving myself to the airport and parking in long-term parking. Oh, my ex-bf sent me an email wishing me a good trip. And that's it. No one else knows or cares. Well, I guess some people know but just haven't really had the chance to say anything. This is lame of me to care about. What do I expect, some big send-off when I'm only leaving for a week? But it's just something that crossed my mind just now.

I hope you have a nice time on your vacation. I find it easier to loosen up when I'm in a city I don't live in, to not worry so much about what people are thinking. A license to be goofy if I want! Although what feels goofy to me is probably what having a good time is to the "normals"!

Safe travels! Enjoy!

Thanks for letting us know. Do you realize all the people here who will miss you, and wonder how you are doing?

This is your big send off...... Relax and think of nothing...

(((yesac)))

Have a safe flight... I want to hear all about it when you get back!
